iPad Pro Generation 5 M1 12.9" and Accessibility text large and picture large for my deaf/blind (Low Vision)

I told them many times and they never listen what I am try told them before

Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo not matter version 1 and version 2 still lot bug.

How did you get it to look like that.?  Clip to canvas has no effect on my grid. Could you explain what steps you did🙂

Hi Kent, Could you attach the file with this issue. Just tap choose files on Post screen and attach the .afdesign file. Previous history doesn’t show an earlier dates post, just this one and so far adding grids and using clip to canvas doesn’t give me the result you got. 
what sort of coloured rectangle do you have in that file? Vector, pixel ? Maybe shown picture of layer studio layers.

Only new document then grid enable you will see that is all.

I still can’t reproduce it on my iPad. Maybe model specific bug. Hopefully mods will test further as there is clearly a problem.

You will have to put rectangle and dark mode so I can see. Try again make your own screen record start over make sure zoom in and out and rotate on document.

@Kent Davis I remember seeing a thread a week or two ago describing a similar issue. I also vaguely remember that it may have had something to do with specific preference settings, or with specific global OS settings. But I don't remember any more than that.

On my iPad (8th gen, OS 15.7.1) I haven't encountered anything like this yet, and I can't reproduce the issue, even by following the exact steps from your last video.

There is not Preferences Setting no.

They must fix code to resolve.

I see the following minor issue

1. create new file in designer
2. activate grid
3. create rectangle shape, size larger than canvas at one or 2 sides.
4. the rectangle is not visible outside the canvas
5. clip canvas
6. the rectangle becomes visible outside the canvas. This is a minor bug. The grid covers only the canvas.
7. if you rasterize the rectangle (without trim), Affinity behaves better, anything outside canvas stays invisible.

unrelated to Accessibility settings.

Hi Kent, we have looked at your posts and I feel your frustration.

We can see that for some reason you are experiencing an unexpected error relating to the grid size when clipping canvas.

@loukash , @NotMyFault and myself are only general members here (just like you), and not associated with Affinity/Serif, so we cannot fix anything. 

Unfortunately we have not been able to replicate the issue on our iPads and so can’t offer any useful advice.  

I know it can be frustrating when things don’t go as they should, but we all have to be patient, find workarounds until fixes come out, or simply use other applications to get the job done. If possible avoid  clipping the canvas if that is what triggers the issue.

Unless someone else feels they can assist further, you will need to wait for one of the Affinity Moderators to respond to your issue (and they are very busy/slow at the moment). They are asking for patience. 🙂

You would probably be unable to replicate it as I think you're missing a key iPad setting that Kent knows is causing the problem (but I don't think he's mentioned here) which was discussed in one of his earlier reports:

Thanks Walt. I can appreciate why Kent feels so annoyed. A fix has been a long time coming.😟
