When I still working with my project, the affinity designer app suddenly showing notifications that "The file appears to be corrupted" and I don't know why it happened. Can somebody help me fix and repair my .afdesign project files or give me a solution? I've worked for 3 days, always doing Ctrl + S to save the document and now I'm so desperate because this issue I had looking for solution in the internet and nothing had worked Quote

Previously, I save it on folder in local drive that linked to OneDrive, so the file is stored in OneDrive inside windows explorer. After the app corrupted, I move it to original local drive / another folder that not inside OneDrive and still corrupt Quote

Yes, I know it was my mistake. I'm sorry. But now, I need to recover the files. Any suggestions to fix the files ? I read this similar topic and the team from Affinity will help fix the files through their developer. Is it true ? Or the worst case, I do again my design project from the start ? Quote

All you can do is upload the document to the forum to see if someone can recover it for you Alternatively, if it is private, you can request a Dropbox link and wait until someone from Affinity support get back to you Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Staff EmT Posted May 23, 2022 Staff Posted May 23, 2022 Hi @arkefallen Welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to recover your Affinity document. We can only suggest that you revert to a backup of the document or if your document is synced to cloud storage, it may have a File History feature that should allow you to download a previous version of the file. We would also like some additional information to see if we can work out the cause of the problem and stop it happening in future. To assist this process, please can you also tell us the following: 1. Which Operating System are you using? 2. Which version of Affinity did the file last get saved in? 3. What drive type was the file last saved to (select more than one if needed)? Local disk USB disk/Flash disk Google Drive folder OneDrive folder iCloud folder Dropbox folder Network location Other (please specify) 4. Any other information you think would help us try to find the problem Quote Contact Support | List of V2 FAQ's | Affinity Online Help | Affinity Video Tutorials | Beta Software Forums | Bug Reporting Guidance
EJSawyer Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I know this thread is a few years old, but I found the post through a web search, so others might do so as well. I just wanted to point out that OneDrive allows you to rollback files to a previous version. So even though the most recent version might be corrupted, you may be able to rollback to a previous version and recover much (possibly all) of the data.
