Staff stokerg Posted May 4, 2022 Staff Share Posted May 4, 2022 Hi @Lladyluckand Welcome to the Forums, 15 hours ago, Pšenda said: HW Acceleration is off? (in Preferences). @Lladyluck To do this click Edit>Preferences and on the Performance section, if the last tick box for openCL/Hardware Acceleration is ticked, untick, close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity. Once restarted, try using the app again and let me know the results
Bill S
I had this problem, and the hardware acceleration modification fixed it. Thank you.
Bango
I'm having issues with Affinity Photo since last update. The application doesn't respond anymore as soon as the little startup panel disappears, no matter if I click on "Close" or "New Document". I then only can close the application via Task Manager. Disabling hardware acceleration didn't help and neither a reinstallation. My system is up to date. I would appreciate every help. Thanks in advance. Ron P.
Welcome to the forums @Bango, Are you able to de-select the Show this Panel on Startup, in the lower-left? If so, can you restart the app and see if that made a difference. You might also try re-setting using the Control run up. Press and hold the Control key while clicking the icon to launch Photo. A dialog window will open, Press Clear, which is in the bottom right. Bango 1 Quote Affinity Photo 2.1.0.; Affinity Designer 2.1.0.; Affinity Publisher 2.1.0.; Affinity2 Beta versions. Bango
Hi @Ron P., First of all thanks for your reply. Deselecting the "Show this Panel on Startup" didn't help. After that I was able to hover over and see every option of each category in the top panel but Photo then stops responding as soon as I click on e.g. "New". However, clearing the user data was successful and Photo now works as intended 😃 Thank you for helping me out and have a nice day!
