GarryP
Just a strange little thing I came up with while experimenting with various things. AffinityJules, AdamStanislav, dannyg9 and 3 others
Wosven
I'm wondering what will happen if I keep on at looking at it more than an handfull of seconds... Will I fall inside and disappear? Alfred
GarryP
Ha. Better not risk it, just in case.

jmwellborn
@GarryP if you blink your eyes quickly while looking at it, it appears to rotate counterclockwise. Amazing! dannyg9
Very cool work. I think that's the best when something comes out of no particular intention and what was tooling around becomes something rather brilliant.
GarryP
jmwellborn: I can’t get it to do that for me but maybe I can’t blink my eyes quickly enough. danyg9: Thanks. I like experimenting because I don’t have much artistic skill; I often tend to ‘bash things together’ just to see what happens. dannyg9 and jmwellborn 1

jmwellborn
@GarryP The plot thickens. I tried it yesterday with my iPad. Just discovered that with my iMAC, retina screen, M1 chip, if you blink at around 2-3 times per second it rotates clockwise. If you blink 10-12 times per second it rotates counterclockwise.😉 Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.6.7. GarryP
I’m still not seeing it but my eyes aren’t what they once were – cue people asking what they have changed into. If I stare at the centre for a while it kind of rotates slightly but the effect lasts only a fraction of a second.

jmwellborn
@AlfredFrom side to side and at a diagonal, yes. Up and down, not as much. Maybe my IPad has an astygmatism?
