The settings are reset periodically. Sometimes only some settings are reset, such as the initial tap. And sometimes all settings are reset, the settings of the program created by the studios themselves. I don't use system cleaners so it's not because of that. Is it possible to save the program settings?

Welcome to the forums @Serfus,

I am a bit lost as to what you mean by the word 'settings'.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Designer Program Settings

Which settings, specifically?

Please give us the names of some that you've had problems with.

Application theme, saved studios, general settings, keyboard shortcuts. They are reset and you have to configure them again

Then I think there is something, other than Affinity apps, on your computer that is making these changes, sorry!

I have all the apps running under Win 10 and do not see such changes happening.

Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770.

Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus.  Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2.

iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.

I agree with emmrecs01. I have not had any settings just randomly change. These settings are stored in xml files, some app or person would need to access them and make changes.

Do you have any of these third party apps installed?

There are no such programs.
I have it manifested like this. When the program starts, a notification pops up "Some parameters were loaded incorrectly" and then the program starts
Maybe it's because of the Antivirus?

Just a guess (I am on mac): Does Affinity exclusively use its default path and folder for the various preferences? You could check for instance by altering a preference, e.g. saving a studio preset, and check the modification dates when the issue occurs next time.

• MacBookPro Retina 15" |  macOS 10.14.6  | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
• iPad 10.Gen.  |  iOS 18.5.  |  Affinity V2.6

Generally, yes, it does (if I understand what you mean by "default").

The FAQ below discusses where the preferences are saved for both Mac and Windows:

I rather meant whether the OP might have modified this path, or one of the used paths used by the app as its default paths for app installation.
(sorry, I don't know whether a customized path would be either possible / work / be of any use in Windows)

Thanks. Yes, one can use symbolic links to move the Affinity directory in AppData to a different location. Or move one of the individual application AppData directories such as Affinity\Designer. And that works without problems in my experience.
