Serfus Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 The settings are reset periodically. Sometimes only some settings are reset, such as the initial tap. And sometimes all settings are reset, the settings of the program created by the studios themselves. I don't use system cleaners so it's not because of that. Is it possible to save the program settings? Quote Vector Illustrator

Ron P. Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 I agree with emmrecs01. I have not had any settings just randomly change. These settings are stored in xml files, some app or person would need to access them and make changes. Do you have any of these third party apps installed? thomaso Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Just a guess (I am on mac): Does Affinity exclusively use its default path and folder for the various preferences? You could check for instance by altering a preference, e.g. saving a studio preset, and check the modification dates when the issue occurs next time. Generally, yes, it does (if I understand what you mean by "default"). Yes, one can use symbolic links to move the Affinity directory in AppData to a different location. Or move one of the individual application AppData directories such as Affinity\Designer. And that works without problems in my experience. thomaso 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
