I imported my document into Affinity Publisher and it has several different fonts. It's 200 pages long. How do I change the font of the entire document?

Welcome to the forums.

What sort of document is it? Can you save the file as a plain text file? Can you copy all the text and then use Edit > Paste Without Style

What I do is start with a plain text file that has 'tags' for all the various styles I would want.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I forgot to add that you could also just Select All the the text using the text cursor and the Select > Select All menu item. Then just apply one font. That would be Face, size and style.

Am I missing something or won't that work only for text frames that are linked together? For example, this very simple 3 page  Linked & unlinked text frames.afpub file has a mix of linked & unlinked text frames. Using Select > Select All on various ones results in only the text of whatever others they are linked to (if any) being selected.

All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7
Affinity Photo
1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7

No you are correct, I was making an assumption that the text would be just one long stretch of linked text frames.

Thank you! It's a PDF that was created in Canva. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing :D

This is only working for the two page spread. I can't believe there isn't an easier way to do the whole document.

Don't you get offered to replace missing fonts when opening the PDF?

Seeing as it is a PDF you are going to have to select all the text page by page.

PDF is the worst format to use for importing text. It is a file format for making finished documents, not a working document.

What’s a better way to save it?

If you have access to the original document and can export it (or Save As...) as Rich Text Format or even Plain Text. You could use the Microsoft Word format *.docx as well.

If you are wanting just the one font in Publisher then the best would be Plain Text.
