eldritch mouse Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I'm working in publisher, and I've noticed that double clicking on a word and then dragging should expand the selection to entire other words, but it doesn't seem to be functioning? Ctrl + Shift + Arrow does work as intended, but it seems like the mouse doesn't have the functionality? Is this a bug or just a feature that doesn't exist? It's a pretty fundamental part of my workflow. Affinity Publisher 1.10.4.1198 Quote

When I use the double click and then drag I do not expect whole words to be selected. I expect the selected word to be moved to where I drag it. This is on Mac so maybe there is a difference between the two OSes. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

That's what I expect on Windows, too, and it's how both Publisher and other applications such as LibreOffice and NotePad++ work. @Gabe's answer that it had been reported to the Developers surprised me. carl123 Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 1. Double click (do not release mouse button) and drag should select the next word(s) 2. Double click (release mouse button) and drag should move the selected word. Patate Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Still no news on this? V2.3 on Windows 10 is still unable to scroll after double-click Quote
Teage Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Just updating that this still does not work on Windows 11 with Publisher 2.5.7, but I would very much like it to (as every other text editor has this functionality). Quote
