RichardMH Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Crashed twice now opening files with OpenCl Acceleration on. Both times I've finished editing one file, saved and closed it then tried to open another. Nvidia GeForce 1650 Super. Studio driver 471.11. And it just froze again with a big jump in memory use. So OpenCL acceleration still has problems for me. e0929e06-96dc-4dee-9ce8-42c58e2b031b.dmp bb9f76e5-a48b-4bde-aae5-0f53e705f39b.dmp
Staff Gabe Posted July 8, 2021 Staff Posted July 8, 2021 Hi @RichardMH, This is still crashing in the Nvidia drivers. I will pass them on RichardMH 1
Staff Chris B Posted July 8, 2021 Staff Posted July 8, 2021 Hey @RichardMH - Mark has been looking through your crash reports and has suggested using the DDU if you haven't already: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html RichardMH 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Mark Ingram Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Just to confirm: The crash is within the NVIDIA driver, so there's nothing we can do about this unfortunately. I suggest trying DDU to do a clean uninstall and then reinstall your graphics drivers. RichardMH 1
RichardMH Posted July 8, 2021 Author Posted July 8, 2021 I did a clean install with the Nvidia installer and so far no crashes. Chris B and Mark Ingram 2

For the moment just the clean option in the Nvidia Installer. See how it goes. DDU is a bit more complicated. I had it freeze a while ago so I might have to try DDU. Chris B 1
