There is no visible difference between Miter Join and Bevel Join when using Contour Tool on an object (second and third buttons).

Also these buttons are not sticky like the corresponding buttons for Cap and Fill in the Contextual Toolbar.

I think what is happening is that there is a pair (at least) of points nodes being made for the corner/apex which is screwing up the bevelling. Limited amount of playing around with this for now but I found this out when I would either Convert to Curves or use the Contour tool's Bake Appearance button on the context toolbar.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Do you have an object you could attach that shows this, as I'm not seeing this myself.

I've reproduced the buttons not showing their states so I will get that passed over.

Here's a screencast of the problem areas I found. The arrow is the one showing no difference between the Miter Join and Bevel Join when object gets expanded. Going inward there is some difference there.

I'm also including the Designer file with objects I played with.

This is a hit and miss situation at the moment. Some objects seem to work OK some don't. The more complex ones are more problematic.

Thanks for that - it looks like anything below 60deg is getting cut off - unfortunately their isn't a way to adjust the mitre value like you can with a stroke. I'll pass that over!

Thanks Telemax,

See my post above - I've reported it to development. It occurs on any angle less than 60deg and there is currently no way to adjust the mitre like you can a stroke.
