Opening CDR with Affinity Designer

Hi,

I recently downloaded the suite of Affinity softwares from Mac. Unfortunately, none of them would open CDR files which were made on Corel Draw. Is there a solution for this?

In the App Store there's a couple of CDR file converter. Not free, though, but not expensive either. (16,99 Euros for a set of 3 apps).

There's also a number of CDR converters online, supposedly free, but ....

Try drag & drop objects from the Corel window to the Affinity window, in open document.

Export .pdf's from inside Corel - mine work just fine.

CDRViewer 3 can export PDF (right click to access export, menu suggests buying):

I use this link to convert CDR files. Works reasonably well. I always convert to PDF then do what I need in Illustrator.

It is completely free. So probably a good idea not to use it for any sensitive data.
