charminghm Posted May 11, 2020 Author Posted May 11, 2020 It is all set. As far as I can see... What I also realized is, that the shortcuts for the tools don't work neither. P- for Pentool B- for Brushtool etc... don't work. Nothing. Quote
thomaso Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 Possibly a temporary issue which might get solved by an app relaunch, like in this case: Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
charminghm Posted May 11, 2020 Author Posted May 11, 2020 Hi guys, thanks for your help. I saved all my work and relaunched the apps. Now everything works as expected. I am wondering how this could happen during work. Quote
mcctaft Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I'm having the same issue. I'll be working in Designer, using keyboard shortcuts, when they suddenly just...stop working. Shortcuts in other programs still work, and I can create and type into a text field, but no shortcuts. Saving, closing and restarting seems to fix it temporarily, but it's getting really annoying. For reference, I'm using a Dell computer less than 2 years old, in the U.S. Quote
mcctaft Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Quick update: Eventually the issue just sort of "disappeared," but I'm now seeing the same issue in 1.8.4. I even tried reinstalling it. I've started a new forum thread to try and get some attention on the issue. Quote
filipevieirawho Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 The exportation shortcut (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+S) never works form me. I have set it on my own keys, but everytime Affinity updates, It get lost. Why can't it update remaining with my preferences? Quote
MaryOJ Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Same here! I add some shortcuts of my own in preferences and everything works perfectly, but when I open the program and start working again my customized shortcuts are gone. I have to go to preferences again to rewrite the same thing all over again, Any help on this, please? Quote

Did you save your custom shortcut set before closing the app? At least this should allow reloading, – easier than manually reassigning them. Many (most? all?) of the Affinity options seem not to be permanently saved until the program is successfully closed. Dazmondo77 Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 First thing I would to do after assigning a new shortcut: as with assets swatches and brushes, and hopefully once we have 1.9, studio presets, - Export - Make an Affinity settings folder to store all your settings in, then either overwrite or (safest) date the export - if you have some really crucial assets (or any other settings) you have built, save then quit app as you will usually find that if Affinity bombs while in the middle of building a job asset library, theres a strong chance you'll re-start Affinity and you've lost the lot - Quote Mac Pro Cheese-grater (Early 2009) 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Ram, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Ugee 19" Graphics Tablet Monitor Triple boot via OCLP 1.4.3 - Mac OS Monterey 12.7.3, Sonoma 14.1.1 and Mojave 10.14.6 Affinity Publisher, Designer and Photo 1.10.5 - 2.4.0 Betas 2.5.0(2430) www.bingercreative.co.uk
