PedroDominguez Posted February 27, 2020 Posted February 27, 2020 I'm trying to export a design and always get an error "There was an error during the export", or something similar because I work on spanish language. I can export to PNG and SVG but not to PDF or PSD for printing. I've attached afdesign file and error screen. Regards, Photocall_Motorama_2020.afdesign Quote
Old Bruce Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 It is the embedded document Zsegur motard Try Rasterize and Trim than export. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Staff Sean P Posted March 3, 2020 Staff Posted March 3, 2020 Hi PedroDominguez, Sorry for the delay in responding - there are currently a lot of threads and we're gradually going through them! The document Old Bruce specified is in LAB which means it cannot be output to the PDF format. So instead of converting this to raster the document is failing to export. This is a known issue that is with development to be fixed. Quote
PedroDominguez Posted March 5, 2020 Author Posted March 5, 2020 Ok! Thanks a lot for your attention, hope to be fixed soon, will try that. Quote
amedeomantica Posted March 25, 2020 Posted March 25, 2020 It won't work for me too. Export is broken since version .1.8 Quote
Staff Sean P Posted March 26, 2020 Staff Posted March 26, 2020 Hi amedeomantica, Can you please be more specific about 'Export is broken'? What behaviour are you seeing, can you provide a screen recording that demonstrates the behaviour you're getting, along with any supporting documents you use please. Unfortunately just saying 'Export is broken' isn't helpful to us, as we cannot begin to investigate the issue. Quote
amedeomantica Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) This is the error I get on same files I was already exporting without any issues on 1.7.x Edited March 26, 2020 by amedeomantica typo Quote
Staff Sean P Posted March 26, 2020 Staff Posted March 26, 2020 Would you be able to attach a copy of the document you're trying to export please? Quote
amedeomantica Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I would like, but contains confidentiual material. I'll try to reproduce in another file. Quote

amedeomantica Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Hi, Same issue with new build. However I figured out that the issue was caused by a corrupted font. Replacing the font fixed the issue. However it was working with older affinity versions. I would suggest to not throw a too generic error to the user if possible Thank you Amedeo Patrick Connor 1 Quote
