MickRose Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 The pre-flight panel is great but sometimes I use a lot of low res images for reference and these will not be printed. They all show up in the Pre Flight panel and this is annoying because it creates confusion with images that should be high res but are not. So I'd like to see an option somewhere to tag an image to be not included in the pre-flight panel checking. Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
walt.farrell Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Are those images on the page, or the pasteboard? If on the page, how do you stop them from printing? If you have stopped them from printing, or if they're on the pasteboard, it may be a bug if Preflight is complaining about them. MickRose Posted February 26, 2020 Author Posted February 26, 2020 They're on the page. I don't print, I select what I want and then export Selection to PDF and use ID for printing. Though I could Print selection if I wanted. Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
Joachim_L Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 You can define Minimum DPI in the Preflight profile a bit higher or uncheck the option. I have no clue if this is something you are looking for? I have a large page with lots of low res images (screenshots) within it. These images are for information only to help in the design. Once I have prepared the artwork I export selected items from the page. The selected items can contain placed images whose resolution might be good enough or not. I'd like t]he Preflight panel to only check for images if they might be the actual artwork, and exclude the screenshots. So I'd like to be able to right click an image and have an option to exclude it from being checked for preflight problems. Quote Windows 10 Pro, I5 3.3G PC 16G RAM
Jeremy Bohn Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 In my opinion, if Publisher had a "Do Not Print" option then this would solve your problem, then the reference objects could be set to not print and be exempt from preflight. garrettm30 1 Quote
