James Sanderson Posted February 23, 2020 Posted February 23, 2020 I run a household moving company... Not the most exciting topic for pics/adverts. So I use my logo in fun ways for the industry. Happy with my 45rpm vinyl image today. Thought I'd share. GarryP, Wosven, markw and 3 others 6 Quote

I’m not sure how many will remember 45rpm vinyl's. I still have a collection of 33 1/3 rpm's I played once or twice and then copied to reel to reel tape. Unfortunately I no longer have a record player (or a reel to reel). 😀 VectorWhiz and James Sanderson 2 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). GarryP Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Nice. My only concern is that the text that curves around the bottom has a wider gap on the left than on the right. (Or maybe that’s something that was evident on whatever you used as inspiration.) Other than that, it takes me way back. I remember we had a plastic ‘puck’ that we had to use with the record player when the record had no central ‘core’. Can anyone remember why the central core (or whatever it’s properly called) was removed sometimes? I have a feeling that it was so the records could be used in jukeboxes but I’m not entirely sure. That was the reason. 😁 (I haven't a clue what the proper name was for it, I do remember that you could get things to clip into 45s to replace the bit that had been removed.) GarryP Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Ah, good, so my memory isn’t totally shot. We also had some of those black plastic ‘throwing stars’ that you could clip into the records, like you say, but they kept getting ‘lost’. Quote
VectorWhiz Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 The graining of the background is a perfect rendering of the paper they used for record labels. To change the spacing between letters select the text you intend to affect and then press alt + arrow keys (to right to increase or to the left to decrease) and use the character panel to change the word spacing (in percentage or hover over the field and turn the mouse wheel).
