DNA Pianist Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 (edited) Hi How can we Save and then reload a "Batch Job" ? I have a couple of different Batch Jobs that I have to do on a regular basis. It would be far easier to save the setup, than having to check all the correct boxes again. Cheers Edited October 25, 2019 by DNA Pianist Quote
Dan C Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Hi DNA Pianist, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately there's no option to save Presets for Batch Jobs currently, however this is something we may consider adding in a future update! Quote
DNA Pianist Posted October 25, 2019 Author Posted October 25, 2019 Thanks Dan... It would be very useful! Nihilism 1 Quote
davidlower8 Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 +1 one for the ability to have a preset for batch jobs. I currently use it anywhere between 10-20 times per day. Having that preset will help massively. Thanks. Nihilism 1 Quote
Artturi Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I've also been using lots of this feature and getting the settings every time again is taking quite much time. Quote
Flashmasterdennis Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Agree, having the ability to save a batch job would be super helpful and a time-saver, which is why we use the batch job. Quote
Liam_u Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 +1 as well. I use batch jobs for compressing and resizing images. Would love to see a "set short/long side to xxxx pixels" option as well so that landscape and portrait images can be resized in the same batch job. Right now my process is to manually select all portrait images from a folder, input the dimensions, jpg quality, resampling algorithm, then repeat this for all the landscape photos. Batch presets would help a lot with this. Quote

If you are wanting all the images to be resized to say 400 pixels for the Height of the Portraits and 400 pixels for the width of the Landscapes then this will work. It will take the images on the left and resize them so they look like the right. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Mr. K Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I'm surprised it is not possible to save the initial setup of a batch job. It would be a time saver to have the format and sizes set to go, then define the to and from. Quote
Mr. K Posted June 24 Posted June 24 I was able to make a Keyboard Maestro macro to get the basic setup entered. It does all to this point: Quote
