While working in Moho Pro 12, I was struck by a thought: what if Affinity Designer (or even Affinity Photo) had bone rigging like what you'd find in an animation program? This wouldn't actually be for animation (save that for Affinity Animator), but rather it would work like another mesh warp tool so one could easily change the shape of a design. Another thing I'd like to bring up is that many animation softwares allow you to have a single point connect to multiple points; this has been mentioned before, and it's been suggested that someone might have a patent, but loads of applications can do this. Adding this sort of feature to a vector application such as Affinity Designer might make it easier to make vector designs for import into an animation software.

Sometimes when I hold an object and move it around in a canvas or an artboard, it can snap at the vertical and horizontal centers. For a while it's not been snapping when I do that. I have all the options for snapping turned on yet it doesn't snap to center. Maybe I've disabled something accidentally. Would just love to get that back. I've since had to use ruler guides or arrange which are longer to me than simply just snapping to center. -
Hello, I have been waiting with excitement for the Affinity BETA to come out on windows. After opening Affinity, i was not convinced. I really got this "not bad" feeling.. This is because of 1 main issue; i don't like the user interface. Functionally speaking, its great. It beats photoshop in my opinion. But its not even close to what i had hoped for.. I am a big fan of "minimalism" and "flat" design, not just for its looks, but for the overall experience. I came accross a photoshop redisign made by Aurélien Salomon on Behance: https://www.behance.net/gallery/19600227/Photoshop-redesign This is how a modern and new photo editor app/program, in my opinion, should look like. Design is contantly evolving, so the tools that are used to create design should be designed with this in mind. My suggestion: create an user interface that works with templates. Give the user control of how Affinity looks like. What would be better then an editor that by itself gives inspiration to create more beautifull & smart designs?

Hello, So, I have Affinity Designer installed on my computer. I am planning to do a clean install of my computer and am wondering about the Affinity Designer product key. I am wondering if I am able to simply uninstall Affinity, then do my clean install, and install it again with my email and product key, or if I will have to do something else for it to deactivate. Thanks for any help. I am running Windows 10 Creator's Update (64-bit) on a custom desktop. -

Hi Together, maybe I havent used the correct search terms, but I could not find anything in regard to my problem. In AD I see my canvas, but the space around it is always black. So I lose elements that I drag out of my canvas. I am used to place all my layout elements around the canvas and even explore design outside my canvas. Is there a way to change that view so that I can see everything that is placed around the canvas as well? I hope my question is clear (not english native speaker). Feel free to ask if anything is unclear.- 1 reply

This is the my first foray into using AD. I guess I would say I'm a casual user but I absolutely love it! Initially started with hand drawing but have decided to start to vectorize them.

Select the document palette by default

Hi, It would be nice that if you open a document that has a document palette this palette would be selected by default. I know it is trivial but it is an extra step that feels really unnecessary. -

I can add corners to a rectangle but what if I want to only add it to some corners of the rectangle and not all corners? How may I go about this? Also, if I have an image which I'd like to take the shape of some shape I've created. Maybe for a rounded image inside a circle or whatever other shaped I'd drawn, how can this be done? Using AD to prototype a web app and I find myself needing these things
