  1. Yes, this is what I meant; double click with trackpad on arboard’s label does not work here with M1 iPad Pro 11 + Magic Keyboard; only the Apple Pencil works:
  2. That’s exactly how I felt. Rename Layer has a perfect position to tap on after swiping left. This is a major improvement for us iPad users. The only thing that’s missing from the Swipe Left menu, in my opinion, is the Opacity option, which I’d trade with the Delete command, because we already have the Delete icon above layers, within finger’s reach.
  3. On the iPad, it only works with the Apple Pencil. I think it should work with the trackpad too, because renaming the artboards with the Magic Keyboard next would come naturally, especially if dealing with documents with tens of artbords. Regards.
  4. The shortcut to rename layers in AD (both standalone and APub persona) is a fantastic improvement for us iPad users, and Swipe Left to rename layers is a very nice change as well. could we hope that someday we’ll have “Tap Layer Name” to Rename layers too? On second thought, after spending a bit more time with it, the renaming is crazily fast already. Thank you for your hard work and for all these incredible improvements. Kind regards!
  5. @Chris B, It’s all good now, I’m just dumb. Erasing by mistake shortcuts set the said shortcuts to delete. Please disregard my post — it’s all good, it was my fault. I wish I had seen this 5 minutes earlier.
  6. Hi @Chris B, I cannot use delete key to delete anything; and now I have this issues with all the apps, not only APub. When I hit the delete key it jumps to Fill in APub, Flood Fill in AD and Move Tool in AP. I can screen-record all the apps acting like said above, I that’s of any help. (I cannot set it as a shortcut either)
  7. It works on both AP and AD latest beta but not on APub (all personas). iPad Magic Keyboard (2022) — M1 iPad Pro 11 256 Cellular — iPadOS 16.3.1. Regards.
  8. Unless I’m missing something — on iPad Pro M1 256GB Cellular, iPadOS 16.3.1, Beta 1709 — Style Picker is not available in Publisher. No issues in Designer and Photo, the standalone apps. (I also want to thank you for bringing this awesome feature to iPad) Regards.
  9. @albertkinng, I wish you a painless transition! With the hundreds of improvements made by Serif in affinity 2.0, and when you will start to love working with the Apple Pencil — there will be no turning back!
  10. I don’t think you are wrong. Personally I deal mostly with files for cutting/ laser engraving (so every single shape needs to be separated and not overlapping) and while there are similar tools for decades (as you and others have mentioned), as far as I know nothing comes to mind to this level of control, quickness and ease of use, no. I’ve seen how these kinds of tools behave at the competition — bloated, slow, unintuitive (and again, very very slow…). (For iPad, which I use for almost a decade for work as a primary device, there’s really nothing to compare this tool with)
  11. This feature is perhaps the most useful I had the pleasure to try out in over 15 years of doing vector work; it completely revolutionises my workflow. Bra-vo! (It works great on the iPad even with complex projects, which normally would take several times more to complete)
  12. As far as I can see old posts can no longer be changed after a certain period (I think around two weeks).
  13. @ericosmosNEW, Fortunately it only looks corrupted (it seems to be a visual glitch), so after getting the shapes out there’s nothing wrong with them. It remains the issue of not being able to place and work with linked files in APub.
  14. Hi @ericosmosNEW, I’ve just modified a linked AD design in APub and you are right, none of the changes were retained upon opening the file back in AD. I think you should post a bug report, if you want to. Edit — I could not replicate the bug because I stumbled upon a bigger issue. Every single linked file I tried afterwards gets “corrupted” in APub. Nothing helps to fix the issue, and so far I could not find similar issues reported in the forums. Will reinstall all the apps later when I’ll have the time and I wil post a bug report if this persists. Regards.
  15. @fde101, Thanks for the heads up, I’ve misread it as pen tool 🤦‍♂️ Post hidden.
  16. Hi @EsseEffe, It’s still a bug in 2.0.3; it’s still under investigation according to Serif, but as far as I can tell the standalone apps are not affected, only the StudioLink. You can add to the topic bellow if you have new info and you wish to. Regards.
  17. The second tap adds a new node overlapping the node which ends the previous curve. It’s not document-specific. At least on v2.0.3, M1 iPad Pro 256gb iPadOS 16.2 — all StudioLink personas are affected, but standalone Affinity Designer is fortunately not. Below a comparison between studiolink vs affinity designer. Regards.
  18. Unfortunately this bug is back, but only in StudioLink (it works in the individual apps). Restarting StudioLink does not solve the issue. It is not document specific. I will record a video when I will have the time. Regards.
  19. Hi @Callum, Sorry for the very late reply, I somehow missed this. Closing the document did not reduce the file size. No other documents open. For what is worth I think it was the result of copy/pasting a very large amount of objects, multiple times. Gabe came to the same conclusion 2 or 3 years ago, but I cannot find his post right now (will update this reply if I will). I had no issue in 2.0.3 but I do not do this type of work in affinity anymore either. Regards.
  20. Fantastic illustration, and makes for a great opportunity to revisit Abbey Road. For me it’s perfect as it is.
  21. As OP said, the in-document save options are included in the iPad’s Help manual: Hopefully next year if Serif team will deem this topic worthwhile, we will get an official response on the matter
  22. It’s probably not what you’re looking for, but the only way we can save from within the document is with external keyboard and shortcuts (cmd s for new save/ shift cmd s for new copy — we also can customise these). It’s a strange omission on the iPad to have no virtual options from within the document, and one of the reasons I had to start using an external keyboard.
  23. There’s Move to Back and Move to Front shortcuts for external keyboard in Preferences/ Shortcut, which now (v2.0.3) are customisable. They work across the Suite + StudioLink.
