  1. Really interesting to see how you work, thanks for sharing - Digital brush work is something I'm trying to get better at now. Again really beautiful work, and fantastic portfolio.
  2. I had a birthday cake made to look like a bacon sandwich last year and burger the year before.......I think that tells you I'm a lost cause. Photos attached are the actual cakes, the cake maker is my Sister who's just going self employed this year.
  3. Logo created for a bespoke cake and icing specialist in Bournemouth, resulting in free cake forever :)
  4. Really nice, Im making a set of super hero illustrations for a clients website this week...its hard.
  5. Me too 50% of my days is working is in Indesign laying out copy and creating spreads...I love Designer for illustration, Logo and now with artboards client mock work, I'm now desperate to kick Indesign out of my life for good.
  6. Lovely, really nice work on the texturing. Once the warp tools get introduced Designer will be brilliant.
  7. Haha Excellent, appears you've been reading my mind :)
  8. Thank you Peter, I am doing a print run of this poster very soon, the story itself was to be an interactive story book for ipad, iphone and android, although It has evolved a bit since then to a series of mini games bridged with an illustrative theme. Having said that 60% of my day job is working with a publisher to create and design books, so will be perusing full on story book to at some point, (think Gruffalo size book) but as you can understand it takes ages and ages to do, so may be a year before its finished - or the wife may get a bit fed up with me sat up all night illustrating and not doing any house work again (Im fully blaming Affinity for that).
  9. Glad your having fun with it, I look forward to seeing the poster completed :)
  10. Thanks Mike, its been in my brain for years, its been real fun making this piece. I'm currently working on a plan of the house, which of course will have plenty of hydraulics involved too :)
  11. I like swiss, exactly the same as Helvetica but makes me sound clever ;)
  12. Good start, now you've made the start it gets a lot easier.
  13. Good spot eagles eyes :) Thats what you get when you use child labour for a proofing system...I will of course be sending them back to the cotton mill by the end of the day.
  14. What do you do boxing day evening when the kids are tucked up and Netflix has been exhausted? You test how many layers, groups and masks you can squeeze out of Designer thats what :) This is a piece thats been on my desk for a while and finished up with excitement last night. (Items you can't see that are included are a toilet and bunkbeds).
  15. Lovely first post. If you want the edges to curl with the radius of the phone, try the corner tool third down in the tool bar (setting at the top)...with a bit or messing you can do all kinds of things.
  16. Best feedback ever.. thanks :)
  17. A little WIP artwork sneak peak, an image from the story start, Ben's house, with rocket parked out back.
  18. Lovely start, look forward to seeing the finished piece.
  19. Thank you MEB as long as I wasn't missing a view option, I'm happy to have artboards for now, makes my life so much easier.
