So far I've never had any problems with AMD, The only thing in the Chrome browser is that he doesn't want to deal with videos like that, but since I can't learn from videos anyway, it doesn't bother me at all! There is obviously a codec missing!
Currently I am setting up a labtop with AMD CPU and AMD GPU, everything is running, all three Affinity 2.11 are running perfectly!

Fravin got a reaction from thedzko in Freezing!
I have been using Designer since 2017, very happy with its fantastic abilities. Never had crashes and freezings until now. Have bought V2 from Windows Store and it keeps freezing with no reason. It simply freezes. I use a small set of fonts in my work, and I don’t know if I can state that, but every time I use Verdana Pro and open the Glyph Browser it freezes. But Windows don't. I'm able to close Designer from task manager and open it again.
After reading somewhere that I was supposed to turn OpenGL off, it's off. But it still freezes. And as I never had any problem with Designer, I am very annoyed by those freezes.
    Is there a possible solution?

My Machine is a Lenovo´s Yoga 7i, 16Gb Ram and Intel Xe. In my gaming laptop (an Asus one, with GTX1650) Designer freezes in similar way.

I have tested your .eps file on my iPad and using the ungroup all operation the layer will ungroup but it will take several minutes due to the number of elements in the group, if the eps was originally created in Illustrator their is an embedded ai file that that program uses when the eps is opened. if you are getting the image from a stock website it may be worth seeing if they have a pdf version of the drawing.

    Hi Fravin
Thanks for your report, this has been confirmed as incorrect by our QA team and is with our development team to be fixed - I'll bump the report with your thread now. Many thanks!

    Sanity restored lol!

If corners are set to a percentage they will scale with the object, if you want to set a corner to say 100px, choose the absolute sizes check box, input 100px and then uncheck the absolute sizes check box, that will revert the corner to a percentage size, now you can scale your object to your hearts content.

Fravin reacted to toltec in Is there a way to change mouse zoom to alt key?
No, but if you press Alt and then drag a marquee, Designer zooms to the Marquee area.

Press Alt and click and it zooms out.

You can also press the Z key and drag left or right to zoom in or out. Pressing Z again toggles to the previous tool.

or set the Preference to this

and there is no need to press the Alt key, the wheel just zooms. Interestingly, that ignores the Alt key so if you press Alt by mistake, it still zooms.

However, ticking that option stops you using the wheel to pan the document but you can press the middle button and drag the image (or press Ctrl and turn the wheel) to pan. You can also press the spacebar and drag to pan.

Not exactly what you want but it might help until you retrain your muscles

Fravin reacted to MEB in How to make corners more rounded?
The Corner Tool doesn't work there on the rectangle because it only works with sharp corners. In your example each of these corners is composed by two nodes neither of which is sharp so there's "nothing" to round.

If you convert/rework the corner to have one single sharp node as in the clip below you can then use the corner tool to round it as much as you want.

The default behaviour is for an object with a natural aspect ratio (e.g. a photograph) to maintain that aspect ratio when you drag on a corner handle to resize it, whereas objects which don't have a natural aspect ratio (e.g. an object drawn with one of the Shape Tools, or a multiple selection of photos) don't maintain their aspect ratio unless you hold down the Shift key while dragging. As @Hokusai has indicated, you need to change the 'Move Tool Aspect Constrain' setting under Preferences.

    Fravin,

Sorry I can't remember if this is how to solve your problem but if I remember correctly try the Preferences/Tools/ Move Tool Aspect Constrain. You have three choices and I'm guessing that you have the automatic one selected but you want one of the other two.

    Best regards,

Fravin reacted to MEB in Change default to PX instead of PT
    Hi heldrida,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums
The default units depend on the type of document you chose when you create it. Currently there's no way to set new defaults for these types of documents.
If you want to change the overall document units select the View Tool (the hand icon) go to the context toolbar and select the units you want to use from the Units dropdown.
If you want to change the units for the lines/shapes stroke's width go to Affinity Designer/Photo Preferences, User Interface section and untick Show lines in points.

One thing you can do however is set up a customised document as you wish save it somewhere on your computer and use it as a template.
