    Need help to salvage my corrupted work file

    I have a work file that got corrupted during Beta testing. I had a solution that worked previously by embedding the work file into a new one, but this method does not seem to work. I only get this message when placing it:

    I would appreciate some assistance in trying to salvage whatever work I have from Serif. I'd rather not start the entire thing from scratch.

    Compound Vector Layer does not update with text changes

    I tried using a Compound Layer to do vector booleans with text. It works, but when updating the text, the compound fails to update after being done typing. Would be nice if it did after a short amount of time without typing as to save some processing power while typing, but make it properly update without the need to move the compound itself.

    Visual bugs when drawing with linked objects

    I've noticed that when I used linked objects such as Symbols, I can sometimes get these weird visual drawing glitches that do not update back to normal until you zoom in and out or rasterize. The easiest way to replicate it was to make two Symbols and mirror the other one on a large canvas.

    Improving this would improve this kind of mirror workflow I like using for adjusting my drawings on the fly.

    Having the tools constantly switch when resizing a brush, undoing, etc., etc. is to me a big problem. The bug happens to me on a regular basis. The only option to temporarily fix it is to reboot and I'd rather work in 2.1 than having to do that constantly.

    Yes, that is the exact bug I was talking about. Once it activates, it doesn't matter what key you press on the keyboard. It will keep jumping between tools like that until you reboot the program (alt colour picking seems to be the only exception). This bug has happened in every single painting session I've had for weeks now. My keyboard pressing habits eventually end up with broken keybinds and it becomes very hard to get any work done in that state.

     I would like to see a new option that works similarly to Direction, with the big difference being that the direction of the brush locks to a single angle from the initial brush stroke. This would be an alternative to manually changing Rotation for the brush nozzle. It would also improve some compatibility with Photoshop brushes which has this option for its brushes.

    Another suggestion I have for the Dynamics tab is allowing duplication of specific settings such as Size Jitter, Accumulation Jitter, etc. The reason why I want this is because it would be nice to mix in various settings to create new types of patterns. For instance, being able to mix Rotation Jitter settings such as Direction and Random could unlock more potential brush effects.

    The only other thing I can think of is that maybe you have another application running using this shortcut that is eating it up? I've had this happen when using TinyTake for screen recordings - it used to swallow up Ctrl+D for Deselect, as it was used inside that.

    I only got it to work when I resetted my shortcuts back to default. My own shortcuts however no longer work and there is no indicator that there are other shortcuts that are assigned to the same key. This issue only happens in the latest Beta build. My personal shortcuts still work elsewhere.
