  1. No, Publisher V2 hasn't this posibility! Maybe it comes in one of the next updates.
  2. A beta version is a version in which new functions, even in a core version, are to be tested by a wide range of users. With an alpha, only a few test it. A beta is like a good wine, it matures over time. You were not perfect when you were born, but over the years you have developed into the person you are today.
  3. I don't know exactly, but I suspect that the Affinity programs store pixel files uncompressed in memory, and also store them uncompressed in the documents when they are added embedded. A Serif moderator or developer may be able to provide more precise information here.
  4. The values I have used are only intended as an example. The OP would have to obtain the exact values from the print shop anyway.
  5. You should already know as precisely as possible how wide the spine will be and how wide the flip covers should be. The whole thing is then added to the side width of the front and back covers. In my example, I have chosen a page height of 297 mm. The widths are 105 mm for the flip covers, 210 mm for the front and back covers and an imaginary width of 27 mm for the spine. It always makes sense to add one to two mm for the folds. Here's an example: front back and flip.afpub Here you can calculate the spine: https://www.gutenberg.com.mt/spine-width-calculator
  6. Kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Wenn ich ein Dokument in Millimetern anlege, eine Linie zeichne und diese Linie mit dem Maßwerkzeug ausmesse, wird der Messwert bei mir auch in Millimeter ausgegeben.
  7. Hello and welcome to the forums. SVG is unfortunately no guarantee for a correct conversion. Unfortunately, there are no binding specifications as to which functions a program must support. You could test it yourself with the 7-day trial version of Affinity Designer. https://affin.co/designertrial
  8. Not every programmer has experience in writing a scripting engine and integrating it into a graphics program. The ability here is beyond question. The question is, how long do you want to bind an employee to familiarize himself with a theme? And as Serif announced in a statement, the development of a scripting engine is in progress, but still in a very early alpha phase.
  9. Hi @Colin Hartridge and welcome to the forums. It looks like a Serif moderator moved your post to the right place. Which frames do you mean? The purple ones? These are the snapping candidates. These can be turned off via the settings drop-down menu of the magnetic guides. See picture.
  10. Hi @KevinJL and welcome to the forums. Try it with the blending options (cogwheel). The image has a very thankless subject for cropping. As an alternative to the Flood Select Tool, you could use the selection brush. However, due to the many openings, it will be very time-consuming to select only the leaves, branches and fine stems. Hence my approach with the blending options.
  11. Hello and welcome to the forums, @Willisski Power duplicate (ctrl+j) will be recorded and should work. Have you tried this?
  12. By the way: level 6 vegans do not eat anything that casts a shadow. 😉😂
  13. For me, the pictures have a bit of the symbolism of the Aborigines and Maori, the indigenous people of Australia and New Zealand. I could well imagine the pictures as a large mural in a light-flooded loft.
  14. Behind the bar you can buy tickets and at the bar everything the drug labs have to offer. 🤣
  15. The Typography menu item is available twice in Affinity Photo. Once in the main branch Window, the other under the TEXT menu item.
  16. Kindergarten! 😂 I'm going on the swing now! 😉
  17. Only Publisher has all three personas. Designer has the Designer and Pixel personas. Affinity Photo only has the Photo persona as a programme persona. Screenshots of the menu areas of all three programmes could be helpful.
  18. Hello @renkala and welcome to the forum. Your company definitely needs a volume licence and the server must meet at least the minimum hardware and software requirements for each virtual machine. For further licence questions please read here: https://affinity.serif.com/business/
  19. An iPad is not absolutely necessary! Skilled "mouse pushers" will certainly also achieve appealing results with the kit. However, lines and curves can be drawn more accurately with a tablet such as the iPad or a graphics tablet.
  20. I can confirm that. This behaviour is also evident in the current version 2.4.2
  21. This is not relevant here. The problem is that if you add a 1 px wide inner outline, everything will be covered except for the character.
  22. @Rafli Ramli @Peter I. Please read here: https://affinity.serif.com/learn/in-app-licence-activation/
