When adding Noise using either the Filter or Slider option, the noise will get radically smoothed out in the final export file. The export file noise will look nothing like the noise I added in my project file. This is a minor issue but it would nice if noise would more resemble what it looks like in the original project file.

Maybe I should rephrase my initial posted request: I would like to cut or copy a (selected - marching ants) piece of an existing document and use this to create a totally brand new project/file that I must now name. At present this cannot be done. I can cut or copy and paste to another existing document but I am unable to create an entirely new project/file with this piece that came from another larger project. π

When I choose to add noise to a color in my work document, the noise level never looks the same when the document is exported. It does not matter what file type I choose to export too, the noise feature gets washed out. See attachment. I am using Windows 11 latest update.

I have used Paint Shop Pro and have the ability to Select a part of a photo or image then cut (or copy) and paste it to a totally brand new document (they call it image). I am unable to do this easily within Affinity Photo. I have to jump through hoops to make this happen. This is a task I do often and so it would be handy to create a new document simply by copying or cutting and pasting to a brand new document. π

Suggestion: Add a Brand Kit
Sludgefest replied to Sludgefest's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Any method to rapidly preset your canvas with all elements of branding with a single click would be fine. I'm thinking it should be a preset baked into Affinity that is configured by the user rather than using a template format. This is a subject that would require debate as to how best to implement it. -

The suggestion I presented certainly is open to rigorous debate. My thinking is simply a button that would configure the entire canvas with all necessary brand requirements, whatever they may be. Choose the Brand button then start creating. This could be as simple or as comprehensive as may be required. -

It is a collection of your brand elements in one easy to access location, fonts, colors, brush types, icons, logo, etc. Any element that is a characteristic of your brand identity that is used to create that identity. This will allow you to create brand identified media quickly without having to hunt around your application to find them.
