Missing Font (Aptos)
MEB replied to Row13's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @Row13,If you highlight a portion of text within a frame, can you modify the font to Caroni in that specific area? Could you please provide the .afpub file so I can check if it displays the Caroni font properly on load? I've installed it on my system. Thank you. -
Text Vertical Alignment Button Fails to Cycle Fully
MEB replied to Hangman's topic in V2 Bugs found on macOS
Thanks @Hangman. I'm logging this to be looked at. -
Hi @abra100pro, How did you insert the document into itself? Dragging the file from Finder shouldn't do anything and using File > Place should display a toast message saying "Recursive Resource - attempted to place document within itself" preventing you from doing so. Setting the image placement policy to embed, placing the file in the document and then setting the file to Linked in the Resource Manager should also display the same toast message. Do you remember how you did it?

Unsure term: to reset bounding box
MEB replied to Oridraw's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I've replicated it here. When you group the object it is still considering the original base box boundaries to define the group bounding box, not the new one (selection box) you set it to. I'm checking if this is logged and whether or not this can be improved. Thanks. -
Unsure term: to reset bounding box
MEB replied to Oridraw's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @Oridraw, Welcome to Affinity Forums It should "stay close" to the boundaries of the object. Can you please attach the .afdesign file with that object for inspection? Thanks. -

Hi @Laganama, Thanks for raising this up. Somehow it fell off our radar. I will make sure this gets fixed.

That's a bug. It should highlight the node´s handles of the object currently being drawn, similar to what the Pen Tool does. It also affects macOS.

Resize Document: dimension rounding
MEB replied to bures's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @bures, I'm sorry for the delay getting back to you. I'm seeing the same as you on Windows. It does keep the decimal numbers after resizing. macOS doesn't do this and round the value as expected. I'm logging the issue. The Srif Info Bot should post a message on this thread as soon as the issue is fixed. -
AD: Snapping of point handles
MEB replied to DarkClown's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
That's the global Snapping options. If you are moving the handles of a point you are using the Node Tool. Check the context toolbar, Snap section. See images below for reference. You probably have the first icon selected if not more. -

Hi @DarkClown, Check if you have disabled all icons in the Snap section in the context toolbar for the Node Tool. -
Resize Document: dimension rounding
MEB replied to bures's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @bures, thanks but I meant the afphoto document before the resize to 2560. If you are reducing to 2560 px, the original document dimensions must be bigger - can't be 2098 px. -
Resize Document: dimension rounding
MEB replied to bures's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
I'm seeing a couple differences between macOS and Windows regarding how values are presented in the dialogs. It should round to 1318. @bures What's the dimensions of the original document? [EDIT] macOS and Windows are not behaving the same way when resizing documents. I'm logging this to be looked at. -
Resize Document: dimension rounding
MEB replied to bures's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
It should round automatically after you click resize. Have you checked the pixel dimensions of the document after the resize? -

Odd problems with rulers and scaling (split)
MEB replied to dcarvalho84's topic in Other New Bugs and Issues in the Betas
I'm seeing both issues as well. I'm logging this to be looked at. Thanks @dcarvalho84. @MikeTO Look at the point the rulers cross (where you change the doc units) and you should see the issue. -
Hi @Greenbeetle, Welcome to Affinity Forums Yes, you have to create the shape, fill it and create the selection from the shape through the Layers panel In Designer. If you have Affinity Photo, with the Pen Tool still selected, you can go to the context toolbar and click the Selection button to convert it to a selection marquee. The shape do not need to be filled in this case, the path is enough. There's no similar panel as the Paths panel in Photoshop.

MEB replied to vierdo's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hi @vierdo, Welcome to Affinity Forums There's o direct way to do it with the Move Tool but you can do it using the Node Tool. See the video below: snaping.mp4 -
