This might be a problem or misunderstanding. As far I understand the option "include" does not mean to embed a linked file inside the exported PDF but rather to create a copy of the linked file together with & aside the exported PDF result, with the goal of being available regardless of their parent folders / paths. In the two attached PDF (A & B) each contains the 5 hyperlink types, the link "file" opens the respectively other PDF.

Here is a template for an A4 sized prism desk 2022 calendar created in AD. This template can be (re)used in all Affinity apps!
This 2022 calendar is localized in german, english and greek (DE/EN/GR) and thus allows to switch the calendar languages and print for either language. The calendar dates used in this template do stem from Mensch Mesch. - The ready glued together calendar looks like the following ...

... the A4 Affinity Designer template looks like this, dependent on the language (DE/EN) switch ...

You set and switch the corresponding language like this for the german (DE) calendar part ...

... or like this for english (EN) calendar part ...

To add your images into the calendar follow the localized instructions written onto this calendar ...

... and here is the corresponding AD template file ...

    Hi @nawkboy and welcome !
For this, you need to use the Fonts manager (Menu Document).

You click on the missing font in the list:

It'll be displayed, and you'll be able to correct it:

Just click again until the "missing" status disapears.

Wosven reacted to thomaso in Default linking beahviour is inconsistent
I would not, because there is an option to toggle the placement type already. So, I do expect and prefer the current behaviour of maintaining the policy of each resource currently existing in the document.
An "inconsistent" appearance is in fact not caused by the app but the user and before the resource gets replaced, for instance as in your recipe:
So, if you started a document with the embed-policy and want to alter embedded resources to be linked then not "Replace" but "Make Linked…" appears to be the correct way it works. After that you may replace and it will remain linked (again, independent of your set policy preference).

Or, in case you want to switch the policy of ALL embedded or some selected items click-select all or several "embedded" resources and choose "Make Linked…":

@Dan C, because of this available option to toggle the placement type, the idea of changing the current app behaviour might not feel like an "improvement"

A small point(!) about the text: you should choose between “L.L.C.” and “LLC” (rather than “LLC.” which doesn’t look good).

It's better with this comment, I though you didn't mind one or the other option.
But if the last settings are kept, this woudn't be necessary.

Wosven reacted to thomaso in Export/Area selection lost with every new export
I don't understand why you mention this. Of course, "Export as before" is an additional option only. It doesn't limit you / you simply don't use it.
Also, it is not a substitute for the request of this thread, to keep the last used export settings in the dialog window.
"Export as before" is for those cases only when you did export, then detected a spot in your layout to change and after correction want to export again with identical export settings.

Nothing controversial here ... finally completed my 78-page both hard and softcover Blurb photo book with Affinity Publisher (and all while learning how to use the program).
I'm really happy with how it turned out. Thanks, Affinity program designers, technicians, and trainers!

https://www.hiddenmelbourne.com.au/melbourne-from-heidelberg-town-hall-4gpx/ is a 557,000px wide 4 Gigapixel 360degree panoramic view from the tower of Heidelberg Town hall. The file is 11.61GB in size. Photoshop can't open it. It was captured as a series of 42Mpx frames with Sony A7R2 + 400mm lens and stitched with PTGUI Pro. Final editing in Affinity then saved as a .PSB image file, before converting into a zoomable view with Pano2VR, allowing the viewer to zoom in to buildings 10km distant.

    UPDATE:
    Brother CanvasWorkspace - Version 2.6.1(February 2022)
I created a document from scratch with 96 dpi.
I drew some geometric elements with 2, 3 and 4 inches to be able to more easily check them in the software grid that emulates the cutting mat and exported them with the same settings as in the attached image.
Then I imported it to Brother CanvasWorkspace and everything appeared with the correct measurements.
I hope it wasn't just luck and that this information can help someone else.

@Dan C The Affinity term "Layoutseiten" versus "Seiten" appears to confuse the German bubble since "ages" …

Not to forget the sticky default setting for "Area" which refuses to remind the last user choice and obviously disturbs users of various nationalities …

Same for me. It's like when putting different pictures, pages and drawing on your real desk, their position there isn't important... It's only important when needing to export the whole content, but basically, it's as rare as the need to export by spreads in APub.
Reversing the behavior between those 2 would be better.

Thank you @MEB, I really appreciate the info and help - good to know.
However, if you could change this without having to rewrite the codebase of AD it would be so helpful. IMHO the impact the position of an artboard on the canvas has when exporting is just really weird. It makes no sense at all (userwise, I haven't written the application code). I deal with a lot of artboards, 10-20 are not seldom. I move them around like a maniac - changing here - oh I need more space - moving others over a bit,... This seems to me like a creative, modern way of handling lots of information on lots of artboards. When designing ads this is the way to go.
On the other hand, the settings of snapping/alignment you suggest work great for this issue, however it comes in the way when moving objects within artboards (as I use it) therefore it seems quite unpracticable to change theses settings everytime I want to move an artboard "out of the way" and rechanging them again to work with objects.
I hope you can see, why this is so important to me. BTW: I got files rejected by the customer quite a few times in the past, only because the ad is 301x601px instead of 300x600px - today I countercheck every single output (Imagine: exporting 32 slices - checking them all through - ouh, I need to improve something; back into the layout - exporting again, checking again.....)
Pleas consider making the gift of an easier day for me (and maybe lots of others).

Thank you - please be aware, that this also happens, when several or all artboards are being exported via the export persona. Please help me in making it clear to the developers that this a (time consuming, error-prone) bug, not a feature.

Wosven got a reaction from Alfred in [Designer, Mac] That "hole-punching" thing again.
I don't understand why you save to EPS (old format mostly used in the 90'), instead of SVG, this one being more modern and compatible with Inkscape (it was made especially for creating and manipulating SVG) and AD.
Just use Inscape and not autotrace, but the 1 pass Luminosity settings, it's great for black and white, and will delete the background. Just tweak the options to get a smoother result. You can do different tests, just copy and paste the result in an AP or AP document, look at it, and if it doesn't suit you, delete it in Inkscape, reselect the image, do more tweaking and click again on "Apply".
This way, you can keep different tests in your AP/AD file, and select the best later.

Now, I'm not sure what is your problem, but I can see layer pixels in your screenshot, and the second one has a curves layer.
Perhaps you did a mistake that converted the curves to pixels. But you won't be able to substract curves from pixels. Be careful with the Assistant, it tends to convert to pixel layer a lot when using the wrong tool/filter on curves.

Love the "alpha protect" tickbox for brush tool!
So much that I want it for smudge tool, and erase tool too. And possibly for other brush tools that I havent even used or understood yet..

This would add consistency of use for AP, no? And no added clutter too? Since its already there for brush tool.

Wosven got a reaction from Blaze2021 in Importing and using PS Smart Objects in AP or AD - is it possible?
    Hi @Blaze2021 ,
The problem isn't smart objects, that you can import with partly success, but the scripts/actions used by PS and that can't be reproducible in AP.

And to reproduce this in AP, someone would need to buy the script, look at each steps it's doing, and try to reproduce it...
Perhaps searching for "vibrant watercolor effect" done with AP would be more helpful than trying to convert this.
