  1. I rarely use underlining myself, but on the odd occasion that I need a specific/unusual type of underline, I just draw a line underneath the words and format it as I want!
  2. and, maybe, move the dog slightly down and to the left, so that is isn't hidden by the text.
  3. FWIW - These forums are for the discussion of Affinity software related topics, not the use of AI.
  4. It's the same on Windows. If it is a bug in Affinity, it seems very odd that it should only affect a couple of images from Pixabay!
  5. It isn't a "bug", it's "by design" – it is also very stupid and annoying! (I have no idea why Serif refuse to let the user decide which default export option they want!)
  6. That link goes to the Serif/Affinity store. You can download a 30 day free trial from there for the Universal Licence, which will give you access to all three apps on Windows, Mac and iPad. (If you don't want the whole package, just download the one(s) you want.)
  7. Rearranging pages in printing order, rather than reading order, is known as imposition. Most (if not all) commercial printers will do this themselves. If you want to print the booklets yourself use the booklet setting in the print dialogue. The exact way you print booklets will depend on your printer. On printers which do not automatically do double sided printing it will be necessary to manually turn the paper over half way through the printing.
  8. You can't put an outline outside the document. How could you see it if it was outside the bounds of the document? It has to be inside the document!
  9. You might if you were deaf! (Properly called Closed Captions, rather than subtitles.)
  10. There are several versions of this image available online, I'm just wondering where this was downloaded from and have you tried using other versions?
  11. For me there does seem to be a slight snapping when moving a panel to the bottom edge of the screen, but there is no problem whatsoever in then moving it elsewhere.
  12. You type something into a box, the AI uses a database of other peoples artwork to produce an image. You then print out the image using an Affinity app. Can you honestly claim that you produced the artwork using Affinity software? My own opinion is that your artistic input was minimal at best, and the use of Affinity virtually non-existent. it certainly is not something that warrants being posted in a "Share your work" forum intended for the display of creativity and skill using Affinity software!
  13. OK, so, I ask a friend to paint a picture for me, because I'm a pretty useless artist myself. I say that I would like a picture of a woman, feeding a deer in a forest. he looks through his large library of books, finds several pictures of a woman, a deer and a forest, all by different people. He then uses these pictures, rearranging them and adding a few effects, to paint the picture I asked for. He gives me the picture, I scan it, open the scan in Affinity Photo, print it out, and put it in a cheap plastic frame. When someone else comes to visit and says that they like the picture, I proudly say that it is my artwork that I created using Affinity Photo. Am I being honest? All I did was describe what I wanted, my friend copied other peoples work to produce the picture, and I just used APhoto as a means to print it out!
  14. This is another of those things that should be sticky, iow, it should stay as the user sets it until they decide to change it, rather than having to be set every time.
  15. Why are you so obsessed with how many views a thread you start gets? Just because people look at a thread it does not mean that they agree with you, or even that they are interested in it. I'm sure that many people, like myself, look at many threads, but having seen the content, then decide that they are actually of no interest!
  16. There's very little in this update (just a few bug fixes) so the easiest thing would be to uninstall the msix version and carry on using the original (exe) version you installed for the rest of your trial period. If you decide to buy it, the exe version is under the msix version (but not so prominent).
  17. If something is "deliberate", then, by definition, it is not a "bug"! A "bug" is something that does not work as intended!
  18. Sorry, I've no idea why linking the second and third frames is not working, but as I said, if you follow the link that Walt posted, that explains how to use Autoflow, which will create enough pages and text frames for all the text, rather than adding all the pages and frames manually. As Old Bruce mentioned you can also create linked text frames on Master Pages, rather than on individual pages. MikeTO has produced a very useful manual for APub, it might be worth having a look at that to find out more about using text frames.
  19. There is no way to automatically display imposed pages in the Pages Panel. but if you print as a booklet you can see the layout in the print preview screen. If you do need to output an imposed PDF you can do so by printing to a virtual PDF printer. (FWIW In 30 odd years of producing theatre programmes, and other booklets, no pro printer has ever asked me for copy to be supplied as imposed pages! (EDIT: Which, as Oufti points out, is not the same as press ready.) Also when printing booklets myself, I have always used the booklet settings in the print driver, never in the DTP software.)
  20. Check out the link Walt posted, that explains how to Autoflow text. You create one page, add a text frame then just shift-click on the red triangular Flow button and it will automatically add new pages and text frames for whatever text is overflowing.
  21. https://affinity.help/publisher/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Text/linkingTextFrames.html?title=Linking text frames
  22. But, please, don't change the Windows behaviour to match the Mac, just so they are the same! (That would be even sillier!) 😁
