Hi @Chris B I'm not sure if this is same issue, but I had a similar issue today. I had a HSL adjustment as a child layer and when click dragging the HSL adjustment and offering it to another thumbnail in the layer stack, to create a child layer under a different parent, it crashed. It happened twice following the same steps in the same recovered file. Unfortunately when I started screen recording I was not able to reproduce. System: AP 2.3.1, macbook pro retina late 2013, Mac OS 11.7.10 Issue: When highlight and/or tones clipping alarm is switched on, canvas gets transparent showing grid background instead of showing red/yellow. It would be great to consider updating some of the stock panel in photo persona. Currently you can: hover over a stock image thumbnail to reveal the title double click thumbnail to open website containing stock image It would be great to: disable popup that persists on screen for 10 seconds (see attached screenshot) and instead add an option to right click thumbnail to access various options (show 'info' including dimensions/title/etc., go to source website, and other relevant menu items.) Add options for further sortering/filtering of results Thanks

Hi I raised a bug previously but it was pointed out that issues with dragging tools to/from the overflow section of the main toolbar is a limitation of MacOS. I am re-posting it here in this feature request forum for consideration. Thanks

Hi It would be great to have more options when using Overlay Gradient tool in Develop persona. In the attached image "Photo persona" you can see lots of keyboard modifiers at bottom of screen e.g. hold shift to to align to axis. I have also attached image "snapping in photo persona" which shows how the gradient tool can work with snapping to show for example the centre of the canvas. This does not work in Develop persona even with snapping switched on. Summary of missing features including: no keyboard modifiers available like with Gradient Tool in Photo Persona no ability to snap and see lines e.g. mid/centre line ability to reposition the gradient line itself (currently you can either click and drag on the canvas to create a new gradient OR move the start or end point) ability to move the mid-point on the gradient line and change the slope of the gradient These are all very useful and would be great to these options in Develop persona. Hi @Dan C, I just wanted to mention the official tutorial on Tone Curves (youtube starts from 40 seconds) has an instant result when James switches it off (i.e. no re-loading of raw file required). It may be required to update the video and/or manual depending on what changes are made. Manual (https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/Raw/raw.html) "The chosen RAW Engine will be remembered the next time a raw image is loaded." It might be clearer if this manual page is updated to mention all assistant settings would require a reload/re-development of image before any changes are visible. Ideally, it would be that any changes in assistant panel take immediate effect so you can A/B test the result rather than having to open two versions of the same raw file with different assistant settings. Hi there My apologies if this is not a 'bug' but I thought it was better here than a feature request. Issue I am following the latest online V2 user manual for Affinity Photo V2 (I have latest version installed on Mac). Manual -> Selecting Direct link: https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/LayerOperations/select.html The manual states: To control automatic selection behavior: On the Move Tool's context toolbar, choose one of the following options. These let you optionally select only layers or groups on the page, or just from the Layers panel (on-page selection is prevented). On (default)—objects and groups can be selected on the page or Layers panel. Off—objects and groups can be selected from the Layers panel only. Layers—only layers can be selected on the page, while grouped items will be selected as if ungrouped; both groups and layers can be selected from Layers panel. Groups—only groups can be selected on the page; both groups and layers can be selected from Layers panel. It looks like the software has been updated and it is not reflected in the current manual: there is now an auto select checkbox and a dropdown (default/layers/groups). Thanks

Thanks gents, you are indeed both correct. I didn't realise it was a MacOS wide issue. That's a shame, but appreciate the workaround above. I'm not a developer and not sure what restrictions the OS causes, but if there was an Affinity workaround, e.g. persistent overflow dropdown during customisation, or even creating an extra row in the toolbar, that would be great in future. Note to Serif staff: might be useful to put a note in the manual with the workaround above for when there is an overflow. Thank you

OSX Big Sur 11.7.10 / Macbook late 2013 retina with i7 processor and 8gb ram Issue: In AP2, open any document and leave in Photo persona. Look at toolbar at top of window. Depending on your screen size, if there is an overflow of icons/tools on the toolbar there will be a double chevron at the end of the toolbar (>>) to indicate additional icons/tools. The issue is when customising the toolbar, you cannot add icons/tools to anywhere in the overflow section. For example, you can't add a new icon/tool as the very last item in the overflow. You can drop icons/tools anywhere in the visible toolbar, including the last position of the visible toolbar, but not into the overflow itself. In addition, you can't remove icons/tools from the overflow toolbar. In the attached video I show how the 'Personas' tools can't be added to anywhere in the overflow section. Nor can any items in the overflow be brought into the visible toolbar. Expected behaviour: I would expect the overflow section to pop up and remain visible when I open the customise toolbar screen. Issue occurs with it on and off Issue: This has happened before with at least one other image but I assumed it was just a once off glitch so did not document it. It happened again today and I have documented the issue in full. I searched 'clock' in stock -> pixabay I selected one of most recent images, external link is here: https://pixabay.com/photos/clock-pocket-watch-clockwork-3179167/ When I add the image to Affinity Photo there is a white bar in lower right corner of image. I have restarted the app multiple times and tried different methods to reproduce (drag into blank canvas, drag into template e.g. A4, and drag onto toolbar to open new tab). I downloaded the same image from Pixabay website (in 1920 x 1280 JPEG) and opened tried file -> new -> open -> selected downloaded JPEG. The issue did not occur when I downloaded the image and added it. I note the white bar is still there when I make the image smaller as shown in attached. It happens on both macbook and external monitor. Followers9 Start new topic

Hi, hope all is well! I am using Affinity Photo 1.10.5 on late 2013 Macbook Pro retina running MacOS Big Sur 11.7.1. The software previously crashed frequently and support advised me to disable hardware acceleration. It is crashing again today (while the acceleration is still off). I have two crash reports that took place about 20 mins apart. Please let me know if I should attach the reports here or send privately by email (not sure if anything personal information would be in those reports). Thank you so much in advance.

Hi I've recently installed Photo and have been playing around with it. It has crashed 2-3 times alreadys seemingly randomly. I did not get a beach ball or any error message. The window literally disappeared by itself and it was completely shut down. I saved the error report that you can share with Apple please let me know if this is useful for you. I am not sure if there are other files/records on my computer I can share with you other than these, if there are please let me know. What is your operating system and version (Windows 10, OSX Mojave, iOS 12 etc)?
