  1. Nice!...I have seen a few of those in Gloucestershire
  2. Ok! @marfbum The Zip file containing the original AD files for the assets associated with Inktober 2017 has been added to the original resources thread Asset Library 2017 Inktober Vectors Should be able to access them now... NB:I have changed the way I present assets..these are still using the old layout
  3. Inktober 2017 Assets As there have been a several reports of issues with the Inktober assets (above!) I have also made available the original AD file sample sheets. For efficiency they have been compiled into single file upload as below....So now you can just copy and paste the asset (hopefully!) Inktober 2017_AD Files.zip
  4. Hi I am sorry to hear you are having problems....As far as I am aware asset load correctly (just checked!). There have been issues registered on the forum relating to the disappearance of assets and dragging into Artboards but I am not sure whether they have been resolved. As a suggestion it would be useful to report bug issues in the appropriate section of the forum and be more specific regarding the issue/s in relation to platform, version, activity description. There are guidelines scattered across several Forum threads highlighting the best approach for reporting bugs which will help you!... With these older assets. There is a PDF attached sample sheet...can you open the file and use the assets from there?...Let me know.....I will go and find the original AD file and upload that..so you can access them!
  5. Brush Experiment Moved this today as this thread is more about Brush sets! and to see what you can achieve with them! Experiment to test two additional Brush sets for texturing. Used in conjunction with 'Concept Brush' and 'Dinosaur' for pattern shading. Substrate Painter Raster for texturing and painting to mimic a textured substrate Bristle Brush Vector based brush set to mimic bristles
  6. This started off as a thumbnail and brush experiment for the 2 new brush sets associated with 'Ecosystem' but I have gone a bit 'over the top' for that!. Used Brush sets Substrate Painter | Vector Bristles and a collection of vector elements
  7. I see now...That's a slightly different issue. With drawings like this I tend to plan for a a solid base in the first instance..to sit behind!...
  8. Sounds Good....! but it would limit the appearance of your skills!...which are impressive
  9. There are several ways to do this: 1. Make sure you have Grouped Objects or select the outline Content 2. Use the Recolour Adjustment layer to change the colour of all the objects at once (None destructive!) set Lightness to -100. If you want a raster version just duplicate and raster the results (R key!) 3. Try with 'Layer Effects' and Colour Overlay (set to 100 Black or white or other!) Again you can rasterize but get option of preserve FX (Which is what you would want!) 4. Select everything and turn to black..Sounds easy but you may not get the results you expect! It's really useful..I use these techniques all the time to change colours of vectors. If you want something more elaborate....check the object Construction bit in this thread: here!
  10. Project Brush 24:Bristle Brush Finally got around to finishing the vector brush set to supplement Project Brush 22:Substrate Painter Based roughly on The Vector Base set for 'undergrowth'
  11. Landscape Builder Kit Version 1.0 Added a simpler set of completed assets to resources (with completed elements from a number of projects!) Can be used in conjunction with the 3 basic asset kits for trees, ground, plants. Landscape Builder
  12. Thank you.. Some of the basic shapes in this kit are available as finished versions in the 'Landscape Kit'...I will add the link to the top of the thread
  13. Nice!...Wish I could draw that quick!...looks good..not sure about the last para font...thought you would have gone for something a bit more 'solid' if you know what I mean!
  14. OK The problem is that you cannot achieve the fill with the type of vector brush you are using. As the shape of the nozzle extrudes outside the path of the vector. To achieve what you are trying to do (be able to have a fill and a line with this type of shape). The Brush will have to follow the vector more closely. You can do this in a couple of ways. A. Draw/Create you shape as a vector object. In this case you can use the predefined shapes to create a zig-zag, using the Star tool or the Cloud tool.. You can also create your own angular shape. Then apply a vector brush to the edge not the one you are using at the moment from 'Fine Liners' This will give you the result you are trying to achieve. B. Keep the existing brush as an outline and draw another shape behind which is a common practice. Much more precise but takes a lot longer. You can see this process in Chris's video: 'Bad Bax' on Affinity Spotlight. Then group the result. C. With an object carrying a line and fill (No vector brush applied to the stroke!). You can Expand the object (as @Alfredcorrectly pointed out!), then apply a 'Divide' You can separate out the objects and then apply a vector brush stroke to the edge vector
  15. It doesn't.need a basic line...then re-apply a brush stroke
  16. !...yeah sorry Should have been expand stroke then divide!
  17. Not sure you can achieve this with this type of brush! You could try using the 'Star Tool' to set the shape and apply an irregular vector brush. That way the brush would follow the vector and you can control the fill to centre line. Then apply Divide to separate or edit with the appearance panel
  18. Thank you!...I have enjoyed building these latest ones...I think the Landscape Builder Kit needs a bit more work...I am working on a Foliage set at the moment to supplement @FraGar's Branch contribution...
  19. List UpdateCamouflage IIIAdded 2 sets of vector assets1. Landscape Shapes2. Landscape Builder Kit with additional contributions from @FraGar
  20. Added the third basic set to resources! (Landscape Objects)
  21. Camouflage III Vector Assets Third asset kit for Camouflage III Base shapes added to resources as Vector Assets:Camouflage III - Landscape Shapes Landscape Objects
  22. Vector Assets: Camouflage IIIA simplified outline set of Landscape Shapes used in Camouflage IIIUsed in combination with Bumble trees and Ground Plants There is also a Landscape Kit associated with these 'base vectors'Categories1. Crater2. Boulder3. Jawbone4. Mesh 5. Textures 016. Boulder (dimensioned)6. Textures 02Multicoloured variations not shown and detailing has been removed.Samples as below and .zip file for installation: Camouflage III - Landscape.zip
  23. Thank you!... @FraGar..I like coffee but have plenty.. I will take a look at your assets They look interesting shapes!... after I get the last bit uploaded...Landscape elements

    Test 2

Added a simple toolkit to build like this!...Vector Asset Landscape Builder Kit V 1.0 You can now experiment with the vector assets..and brushes!
