Yeah this is a separate issue, it doesn't seem to be picking up the updated content and is instead using the Layer's name from the Master Page. I'll get this logged. As far as I'm aware, it should only be Articles created using the 'Add Article' button that can be renamed in the panel (and that is because they don't appear anywhere else). Are you suggesting there are others? To me it seems it would become messy and confusing to start giving items different names throughout the app. What is wrong with naming in the Layers Panel? (Other than the master page issue) I did indeed log that and it was fixed in 2.6.0.2831, so I was surprised to hear it was still an issue for you. Would be interested to see what is happening! AF-4844 and 4843 are clones of the original issues (AF-4784 and AF-4787 respectively) that have been found to also affect another OS and get prefixed, so thats why they may appear slightly oddly named. Shape Text + auto article creation: The reason Designer turns everything clear is that it doesn't have the Text Frame panel so text frame stroke and fills wouldn't be able to be cleared otherwise. The idea is that empty text objects are not automatically added, so the bug here is that an empty Shape Text frame is being incorrectly added. Title page text frames: I'll pass the feedback on, but as far as I'm aware that is intentional based on the current design. However it is worth noting that text in groups is not considered for inclusion, so if you want to omit items to avoid clutter you can potentially just group them providing your design allows for it. Split master ghost frames: The naming is down to the issue mentioned above with Master Pages. However are you able to narrow it down to a simpler test file you could attach? There is a lot of back and forth with many different issues in this thread that its starting to become difficult to see the wood for the trees! Hidden frames + auto article creation: Again I will pass your feedback on regarding this design, however as mentioned you could always group things to remove them.

Auto article names: The names for objects are generated by the objects name in the Layers Panel. If you want to give it a more meaningful name in the Reading Order Panel then simply just renaming the layer will be sufficient. For example I can rename by Table to 'Sales Figures Table' and the name in the Reading Order Panel will change from '|Year|Amount|2024|$10000|||||' to 'Sales Figures Table' Can't rename articles: Again as mentioned above this is done by giving the layer a meaningful name. Selected article bug: I've logged this. Duplicate articles with split masters bug: This one I found that when I opened the file I had two frames present. As mentioned when editing I get three frames which is incorrect so I will log that. The Undo does then correctly go back to 2 frames listed as I would expect. --- Auto scroll: Thanks, I've passed this on as improvement feedback. Incorrect drop zone highlighting: Thanks - this appears to only affect macOS and iPad. I've logged this. Icons: Thanks! This is something we're already aware of and already logged. Question (about grouping front matter): This is correct. --- Automatic article creation: I'll pass this on as an improvement. Related to this it should really toggle multiple items at once if you have them selected when toggling (similar to the Layers Panel when you toggle visibility for multiple selected objects). My apologies - it was originally called Line Width Tool during development but later changed to the more accurately named Stroke Width Tool. I occasionally get the naming mixed up! I'll edit that. Thanks!

These tags are used as source of alt text (note the dropdown's label in the Tags Panel) when exporting to tagged PDFs - i.e the alt text that appears when I hover over the image in Acrobat. Alternatively the text is also used when the item is added to the Reading Order Panel, and is then used to feed information to a screen reader. Other sources that already existed in the panel were XMP Title, Description and Headline fields. In the image sample attached to Patrick's post it contains an XMP Title tag of "XMP - Extensible Metadata Platform" as well as XMP Alt Text in a series of languages similar to this "This is reading Alt Text Accessibility that has been specified..." or XMP Extended Description in a series of languages similar to "This is reading Extended Description (Accessibility) that has been specified...". If you users want to enter custom text this can already be done as by selecting 'Custom' in the dropdown and entering the text in the text field.

Hi rui_mac, This looks like a crash that is unique to Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey. We have now reproduced it and passed it on to development.

It doesn't default to Pages as such - it will default to the last option that was selected. If you go into the dialog, select Spread and cancel out the next time you go in there it will still be set yo Spread.

Hi Mike, This is intentional. Turning off Reflow Spread in the Document Setup will disable the 'Reflow Pages' option in the Pages Panel, and also set all your existing pages to not Reflow Through Spread, to ensure any existing pages are protected from reflow if you decide to enable it at a later date. In your recipe, the option is still disabled, so in Step 4 it is correct to not have them reflow. If after Step 3 you first go to Page Preferences > Page move options > Reflow pages and re-enable it, then deleting the page in Step 4 will cause them to reflow.

Hi Seneca, I've just tried this on our Ventura machine and I'm unable to replicate this. The print dialog doesn't reappear after clicking 'Cancel' or clicking 'OK'. I'm surprised Designer/Photo are giving different results compared to Publisher. I'm wondering if there is a preset/setting that is causing this. Are you able to attach a video showing this with Publisher (that also shows all your print settings) and also the same for Designer or Photo showing all your printer settings. Thanks!

Hi NotMyFault I'll get the issue bumped with development. Whilst its not exactly a workaround, if you find yourself in this situation you can switch to the Swatches section and tap on a swatch. That will select the colour and dismiss the pop up. It is also worth noting that this issue only occurs when the Export dialog appears 'floating', rather than a separate screen which will generally happen on iPads with a 12.9" screen (or 11" with Display Zoom set to More Space). Setting the display zoom the other way should allow you to interact with this control normally, but obviously I understand this isn't exactly a great workaround as you'll lose a lot of screen real estate and affect all your other apps.

Unfortunately not - I've tried a few scenarios and combinations of install types and wasn't able to reproduce that element.

I can reproduce this now. I didn't realise it was the Picture Frame handle. Interestingly I couldn't do it until I added a spread above my pages 3-8 in the attached document. If you delete Pages 1-2 the offset goes away! untitled.afpub

This is something we do have logged (although isn't a new issue to the beta) and I think is potentially down to a 'format' (FileDrop) Firefox adds to the clipboard. If you go to Edit > Paste Special and select Device Independant Bitmap it should allow you to the paste the image onto your document

Is this reproducible for you? If so are you able to get a screen recording demonstrating this behaviour please? (Ideally showing both apps running first with the info from the top right of the My Account screen visible). What installer types of the beta and release are you using? I see you've said their MSI, but are they both MSI (NOT MSIX) and are they both the x64 versions? I've tried doing this myself for an MSI install of 2.5.5 Retail, adding content, installing 2.6 MSI Beta and then using 2.6 to copy the data over with no issue.

Hi Sam, The Retail and Beta builds have two separate locations for storing add-ons, presets, brushes, assets etc. This means that any content added to the Retail 2.5.5 build will not show up automatically in 2.6.0. This is done for safety to avoid any beta issues wiping out all your retail content, and also if the serialisation of the file format changed it would mean the shared content would no longer work in your 2.5.5. With that said if you go into the App Settings > Beta Program you can click a button called 'Copy Settings & Content From Release Apps' and this will copy over all your user data into the beta to save you the hassle of doing it manually.

I also can't say I've seen this with 2.6 either. However the Vector Brush Tool is now incorrectly drawing a blue line as you're drawing with it and I wonder if this is potentially the cause of your issue!

Hi Peter, This is actually now possible! Essentially if you go into Spread Properties, and select the second page of your spread, you can set the X value to be a negative amount which should give you the desired behaviour. Please see this post for a little more information:
