  1. [MOD EDIT: Split from - ] I'm on Windows 11, but I agree that all three apps are very slow indeed when you open them for the first time, so slow that it almost feels as though they haven't responded. They were slow at version 1.01, but even slower now.
  2. There was a new release (1.10.4) yesterday - try that first. What type of RAW file is it? What's the file suffix? For example, my Olympus RAW files end in .orf.
  3. @Alfred Yes, it would require a slightly different approach to creating them in the first place. I don't think this is a bug: I seem to remember the same behaviour in the Plus range. I can see why a user might find it odd, though.

  5. It will take a while for Apple to verify it for the App Store, but the update was released for those of us who bought direct from Serif a couple of hours ago.
  6. @Dan C A quick footnote to say that I have just upgraded all three to 1.04, and my online profile has picked this up. It hasn't lost anything this time.

  8. @Bryan Rieger A very good point, and if Serif expanded their platform support in any direction, my guess is it would be in this one.
  9. Serif is a remarkably small company. What they do with the small staff they have is nothing short of amazing. I know: I've been around Serif for a LONG time. I doubt there would be the capacity to do it, even if they had half a mind to want to do so.
  10. @MattyWS It took Serif over 20 years to move into the Mac market, which was already huge. I really can't see them being pro-active in the Linux market, so I think you are probably on a hiding to nothing.
  11. Yes, but they don't spread themselves too thinly. Each to his own, but it's a 'no' to Affinity for Linux for me, I'm afraid: let Serif concentrate on the three platforms they are already supporting and do it really well.

  13. Why not just say the names of the features you'd like to see that you think are missing? NOBODY should have to trawl through a video to find out what you are asking for!
  14. I can't read the text in the screenshots, however what size canvas did you choose and have you tried zooming out?
  15. @Dan C Just to be clear: as far as the apps were concerned, I was still logged in. What I had to do was log out and then re-register. I will be keeping my eye on this as future updates are pushed to us. I notice that Affinity apps don't auto-register if there is another Affinity app already registered: this was something that was quite handy with the Plus range.
  16. @walt.farrell You can be forgiven for not knowing my history with Serif. I have been using their software since they released PagePlus 1.0 in 1991. I was a beta tester of their Plus range for many, many years when beta testing was done behind the scenes and with a signed NDA. I am very well aware of the nature of the company (I have even met Patrick C. face-to-face). I was a major contributor on the old Serif forums and on Community Plus long before Affinity existed as a software range. Yes, I would like to hear from anyone using Windows 11 who has (or even who has not) experienced this. As I understand it, you are using Windows 10, so not the same platform as me. Thank you for your interest.
  17. OK, well I was hoping to hear from Serif whether or not this is expected or a known issue on Windows 11, not that it solves an issue for someone else on a different platform. 🙄
  18. @walt.farrell It's nothing to do with iPad - I'm on Windows 11. Why did you make that assumption? My signature line doesn't even mention iPad!!!
  19. Is it normal to have to sign out and re-register after updates? This morning, when I went to my registered devices page after installing updates yesterday, it was completely empty. I've had to sign out and in again to all three apps to get the registered devices back.

  21. @giantlobsterprd The biggest giveaway is the sunburst. I think the theatre image is the closest to the vibe and the most successful.
