Petar Petrenko replied to kimtorch's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
After long and in-depth analyzing of this thread I came to the conclusion that the final demand is: WE WANT AFFINITY TO ALLOW US TO RE-CODE ALL THE APPS, SO NO ONE CAN RECOGNIZE THE ORIGINAL. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.- 678 replies

About Publisher 2.2
Petar Petrenko replied to Petar Petrenko's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
Of course we don't know. That's the reason I'm asking. -
Hi, can we expect columns span and split? Tables across pages, table notes and some simple math? Please.

Forr this kind of post it would be better if you use numbering style instead of bullets, for easy addressing the answers.- 678 replies

Hi, I added some layer effects to the text in Publisher 2.0 (Win x64) and then wanted to create a yellow background (stripes) bellow it. After I clicked on "Decorations > Fill" all layer effects were moved to the decorations as you can see on the bottom of the image. Am I missing something; Is this intentionally, or is it a bug?

3 page spread
Petar Petrenko replied to Natters's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
I have also super easy and even faster workflow -- I do it in InDesign directly. -
3 page spread

Maybe because multi page thread is easy to achieve in Designer? It is still a valid request, but in meantime... -

It would be nice if A-Team add these capabilities to Designer considering artboards: Artboards should not overlap each other; When resizing the width of the (middle) artboard, it should push the page next to it. These 2 features can simulate what we want to be added in Publisher -- multi page spreads. -
Crop Tool improvements
Petar Petrenko replied to Ash's topic in [ARCHIVE] 2.4, 2.3, 2.2 & 2.1 Features and Improvements
They must change it to work as in Publisher and Designer because, this way, it is used no more than once if you need to crop the canvas. Totally useless. If you plan wisely i.e. by defining the canvas size at the very start, you will not use it at all. -

I vote for Python because of its elegance, simplicity and efficience, but to be honest, with JavaScript we can have access to plenty of scripts written for InDesign which we can modify if needed to accomodate for Affinity products.- 678 replies

BUG with importing IDML
Petar Petrenko replied to Petar Petrenko's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
Having in mind the IDML file... When I want to join some first line indented paragraph with the previous by pressing <BACKSPACE>, Publisher deletes some unexisting space characters. To try, just put the cursor in front of the red words and press <BACKSPACE> few times to join with the previous paragraph. -

So, you won't support it directly as you will support JavaScript?- 678 replies
