  1. My motto is: "Less Adobe apps, more joy". BTW it is the same for Microsoft apps. :)
  2. I don't know how many units you support, but there will always be somebody who needs its own one (me included). Why is so hard to add this feature?
  3. By exporting Affinity document into PDF maybe? :)
  4. Is it a good idea to develop a new creating/viewing "PDF" app beside Adobe's Acrobat and Reader?
  5. 1. How much is TIF compatible with PSD files? 2. Does Affinity covers TIF format 100%? If so, maybe it is better to convert PSD to TIF an then import to AP to retain as much as possible from Photoshop documents?
  6. The names of Affinity trio is as much generic as possible. There are plenty apps with original names like Pixelmator, Picasa, Snapheal, Capture One... But, what's wrong with generic names? They are much easier to find.
  7. Sorry, are you a member of Affinity stuff, or maybe a spokesman?
  8. Hi, I would like to make a suggestion about changing Affinity app's names to match each other as they should be. 1. First suggestion Photographer Designer Publisher 2. Second suggestion Photo Design Publish As you see, in the first suggestion the name of Photo is extended to Photographer, and in the second, the names of Designer and Publisher are changed to match Photo.
  9. In QuarkXPress you can change leading, tracking... (and be more accurate) while holding ALT/OPTION by amount 0.1 of the unit. So, you in Affinity can add this feature and even be more creative by using some other modifier key (together with ALT, maybe) for even greater precision: 0.01 or 0.001.
  10. Maybe moving over the icons with mouse to display bigger icon (like with loupe) would be better solution?
  11. So, as I can see, lot of users need specific app features (ex: text/paragraph styles typical for an app like APublisher) to be requested for AD or APh and vice versa. And so, everything is going my way as I mentioned in some previous posts -- all three apps must be joined into one app (through Personas?) to avoid features duplication/triplication.
  12. They must be named by their ink percentage. And, after every ink change, the name must be changed, also. All "normal" colors must be replaced by global colors, too.
  13. Can somebody explain why it can be difficult to be implemented in AD when InkScape does it without (any) problem?
  14. All colors should be global/linked colors. Not to be divided as standard and global/linked ones.
  15. It is about layers that contain pictures. Just put a link in that layer to the file on the hard disk, like layout apps do, Instead of embedding it. This way new files would be much, much smaller than now. Is this a good idea?
  16. It is not true. Have you ever worked with ID or QXP? You can see items off the page (pasteboard) all the time. And they will always be beside the page you put them on so they will not interfere with items on other pasteboards. Or, you can put them into library and reach them more quickly.
  17. Designer and Publisher can/must definitely be joined into one app. Photo can also join that union but, let don't push things that way, for now. It is still not too late. Developers can start adding Publisher's functionality to Designer and join these two apps into one on the fly.
  18. Exactly, it is not the same. But, when you watch a bilboard from a distance you can't see the pixels, and if the wall don't have a smooth surface -- it is the same. You will not see a difference.
  19. You should reduce the dimension to 1/10th. So, it should be 20cm x 10cm with 300 dpi. It is the same as you would like to print bilboard.
  20. "Layout" or "Corpus" would be fine. And all three programs merged into one. I don't like prefixes or sufixes like "Pro", "Ultimate" and so on.
  21. +1 Up to now, my opinion is that CorelDRAW has the most precize tracing engine. But, unfortunatelly, as you now, this is a Win app.
  22. +1 I also asked for this few months earlier, though for ALL the programs, because designing is consisted of using all these programs in any combination, not only one of them. I agree that Designer and Publisher have a lot of code in common and nobody can exactly say what strictly belongs to Publisher and what to Designer. Both of them are primarily vector oriented. But (for now) Affinity team does not like this suggestion at all.
  23. Some applications display the glyphs only for Normal/Regular font or better said -- non-italic ones. It would be very convenient if Affinity software displays the glyphs from ALL members of the typeface family because, especially for Macedonian users, there are some specific glyphs for our language in italic fonts.
  24. And what is so special in Aperture that Photo doesn't have?
