  1. This has been an issue for almost a year now and still no resolution. I know they have made other posts about it and what the problem is, but at this point it comes across like they really don’t care. After a year, you would think something would have been resolved or an alternative to the tech causing the slowness would have been implemented.
  2. Curious of any progress on this... would be nice to hear an update from Serif on this.
  3. Same here. Been using RAW with Nikon cameras for several years now. Very excited about what Apple has done on the latest iPhone and ProRAW. It opens up a whole new range of possibilities, all while fitting in your pocket.
  4. Just an FYI that there is another thread about this same topic. This issue impacts both M1 and Intel, both App Store and non-AppStore versions. I have an Intel iMac (excited to see what future M1 surprises come out) and this only happens with Affinity applications. All my other applications (most of them are universal) are fine and launch pretty quickly. Startup performance 1.8.6 - Page 2 - Photo Bugs found on MacOS - Affinity | Forum (serif.com)
  5. I noticed this on the iPad version also. On the macOS version they don't appear as overexposed (at least in my limited test cases, guessing this is because Apple updated their RAW engine in macOS with the latest Big Sur 11.1 update).
  6. Not sure if it will help, but I noticed that this happens consistently after a fresh reboot and so I decided to do a few reboots and then launch Affinity Designer and Photo after the system rebooted. Both of them were very slow, sometimes taking >10 seconds before the application started up. Subsequently launches are much faster (1-2 seconds). As soon as I rebooted, the first launch was really slow again. I kicked off Activity Monitor and noticed that SYSPOLICYD was chowing on the CPU on that first launch of each and it kicked in right as I clicked on the application in the dock. Not sure if this will give you another clue to help determine the source of the problem. Subsequent launches do not appear to trigger SYSPOLICYD like the first launch.
  7. Ditto here. VERY slow startup for both Photo and Designer on both Catalina and Big Sur.
  8. The latest iPad release is also named wrong... unless there is another type of green salmon in the wild...
  9. Wondering about this also. Cannot get clean SVG files for export to TinkerCAD (just imports the vector all chopped up) or Blender (imports better, but still has problems).
  10. Thanks Callum. The popups aren't a super huge deal, they just kind of stuck out once everything else went dark and I wanted to point it out. Appreciate your reply.
  11. You should be able to fix the sort order in the iCloud Drive folder. If you right click while inside this view and select "Show View Options" you may find that Group By is not set to None. I had this happen with one of my folders and it causes things to not behave or work like you want.
  12. Wow! I post a simple question, with no implied urgency, and get a snarky, insulting reply. I own ALL of the Affinity products on both macOS and iOS and am very happy with all of them and have every right to ask a simple question without getting insulted.
  13. Will full support for macOS Mojave dark mode be enabled in the Affinity apps? I know they can be set to dark, but some UI elements still come up as light... like the File Open, Save As and Print Popups to name a few.
