  1. Hi Welcome to the forums! For combining images I would suggest taking a look at this tutorial here. :) Jack
  2. Hi Rino :) You can access rulers in Affinity Designer and Photo under View>Show Rulers I hope this helps! Jack
  3. Hello mosmos0789 Welcome to the forums! Once you have converted to curves, use the Expand Stroke option which can be found under the Layers tab. You should find that this will give you access to more nodes on the curve. We are currently looking at improving this in the future. :) Jack
  4. Hi 21kozak! Welcome to the forums :) Sorry to hear that, would it be possible to provide a copy of the file you're working with so I can take a closer look? Jack
  5. Hi Tonyt Thanks for posting on the forums! I would suspect this is happening because the programs do not recognise .afphoto as an image format. (As it isn't an image format just a Affinity file specifically) If you were to export the image from Affinity Photo into a more generic file type like JPEG or PNG for example, they should show no problem! Jack
  6. Hi Johnny34 Welcome to the forums! :) Unfortunately it is not possible to import your profile settings from the trial to the full version. It is possible for you to transfer items such as brushes and styles but the profile settings are not retained. This has been requested in the past so hopefully it will change in the future. Jack
  7. Hi Crabtrem, I am able to replicate this also, Ill get this logged with our developers. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Jack
  8. Hi Simon I've logged this with the developers so they are aware of it, but just to let you know that we are still working and improving on the plugins within Affinity so this may change, but as this is between two different apps it maybe an update that is needed to be carried out by NIK themselves. Jack.
  9. Hi Scott! Welcome to the forums! :) This seems to be working fine for me, would it be possible for you to provide a copy of the document you are working with so I can take a closer look? Jack
  10. Hi CaptainCowpie Welcome to the forums! :) With regards to inserting an image on the canvas at the size you want it, I would suggest starting a new document (File>New) and specify the size of the canvas, then click File>Place and select your image, just click on the canvas to insert and resize your image. You can now apply the vignette and this should apply the image entirely, if not feel free to PM me a copy of the document your working with so I can take a closer look. I have also provided a link to another thread here which provides help with the vignette tool, this maybe helpful! :) Jack
  11. Hi krunberry Thanks for posting on the forums! With regards to the sizing of the text box, if there is too much text for the capacity of the frame it will overflow as this is by design. For this I would suggest altering the size of the text frame or the size of the text that has been inserted. Alternatively you could create a clipping mask for the text frame which would allow you to manually show only a portion of the text. I have attached a video of this for you :) Clipping text frame.mov Jack
  12. When on the desktop, click 'Go' and when the drop down menu displays hold down the alt key. Library should now show and then you should be able to follow the path with no problems :) Jack
  13. Hi markuswaeger, The effectiveness of the tool varies depending on the image that is being used. The Vibrance Tool increases the intensity of the more muted colours, so the image adjusts to only alter the pixels that are least saturated not so much the pixels that are already relatively saturated. But if you feel that the Vibrance Tool could be improved, feel free to post this on the Feature Requests section of the forum :) Jack
  14. Hi Ronnyb! We're getting mixed results with this. I'm able to replicate the issue on my iMac but on a Macbook connected to a Thunderbolt display it works when using the display, but the macbook itself is having the same problem. Ill get this logged. Jack
  15. Hi Jackamus. Sorry for the delay getting back to you! It is not possible to save the workspace unfortunately, you can only make a back up of what is held in the Application Support folder. I have provided the path below. /Users/***/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner.beta/Data/Library/Application Support/ Replace the files that you will find in that location with what will be shown after installing the latest beta. Jack
  16. Hi tparrine Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately it is not possible to show brightness in the Histogram at the moment. Feel free to post this as a feature request :) Jack
  17. Hi Bazzer901! Welcome to the forums :) Are you running the latest beta of Affinity Photo? If so, you can find this under Filters>Haze Removal Jack
  18. Hi DashingDave! It is not possible for you to change the default selected tool in each persona unfortunately, but this has been requested quite a lot recently and hopefully it is something we can include in the future. In the mean time, it may be worth you getting to grips with the shortcuts within the App to help you quickly navigate between each tool whenever you need it. I have attached an image of the basic shortcuts but I have also provided a PDF here Jack
  19. Hi Morgie! Welcome to the forums :) We have not had any reported issues with El Capitan, of course if you spot anything let us know! You can see the full RAW compatibility list here. Jack
  20. Hi Janne Welcome to the forums :) Would it be possible to attach the file you are working with so I can take a closer look? Jack
  21. Hi Erwe Thanks for the suggestion! I think this is something we will add to the forum in the future. We are looking into adding tags to define which product is being used in the question thats being asked. We will update everyone when we have more info :) Jack
  22. Hi Odds, Welcome to the forums! :) Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding the issue. Would it be possible for you to provide me with a copy of your file so I can take a closer look? Jack
  23. Hi Positive Media! Welcome to the forums! You will need to release the mask, to do this right click the mask and 'Release Mask' then select the objects together and (with the ALT key down) intersect the layers which will create a compound layer. If this does not help, feel free to PM me your file so I can take a closer look. Jack
