  1. Hi Welcome to the forums! :) This has been mentioned previously in our feature requests section. We expect improvements to be made to this over time. J
  2. Hi Welcome to the forums :) The Apple Photo's extension is only available if you install the Affinity Photo Consumer Beta. This feature is not yet available in the Mac App Store version (only after the next update). Once installed, just click 'Edit' on an image in Photos :) J
  3. Hi Roger :) In other apps noise reduction is applied automatically but that does not apply to Affinity Photo, I'd recommend having a look at this video tutorial we have on Raw Noise Reduction It will be beneficial working at 100% zoom level when in the Develop Persona, this will ensure you are seeing the changes being applied before clicking 'Develop' J
  4. Hi inquire :) I have been able to do this by following the steps below. Create a new Pixel Layer Paint over the areas you wish to highlight Hide the Background Layer which leaves only brush marks showing Export as PNG-24 (with transparency) You do have an option called 'Separated Mode' which you can find under the Window tab, this will allow you to view multiple projects at one time. I hope this helps! J
  5. Hi MtotheC Thanks for posting on the forums! I think this thread will help answer your question. J
  6. Hi Ola, The results can vary depending on the data you brushed over. If you don't get the result you want at first try, try to paint over the same area again or just undo and try again. Would it be possible to provide a copy of the file you are working with so I can test this? J
  7. Hi Ortwin, Welcome to the forums! :) It would seem the error is with the many images within the layer. If I was to rasterise the layer, the export looks fine but appears pixelated in Affinity Designer. Can I ask how this was created? J
  8. Hi Graham :) I was able to achieve this by applying a Channels Mixer adjustment, and then applying a Levels Adjustment. I have provided a video quickly showing the steps. I hope this helps! J quick sketch.mov
  9. Hi Shostlycello! Welcome to the forums :) No, Affinity Photo is not a Digital Asset Management software like Lightroom or Aperture. It's a RAW converter/developer and Photo Editor, similar to Photoshop. We do have plans to create a DAM product in the future though - watch this space! :) J
  10. Hi Jonas14 This plugin is unsupported, as mentioned here. This has been raised on our forums before but it would seem they do not have any plans to integrate On1 plugins with Affinity Photo at the moment. I would say that if support with Affinity Photo become more widely requested, they would be more likely to add it :) Jack
  11. Hi Linssen Welcome to the Forums :) It doesn't offer all the features that the main app does as it is just an extension, but it is new, so you can expect more features to be added in the future. It is only available in the latest customer beta of the app and should be in the full version in the next update. Jack
  12. Hi Welcome to Affinity Forums. If you enable Snapping, all those alignments will become much more easier. To enable it click on the third icon counting from right on the top toolbar. Then click on the small arrow to select which options you need. Snap to object bounding boxes and Include bounding box mid points will do what you want. You can also enable Snap to guides to help you align more tricky objects. I hope this helps Jack
  13. Hi Patrick Welcome to the forum! This is not something that is available at the moment and as far as I am aware we have no immediate plans to add it, I will however move this thread over to the Feature Requests section :) Jack
  14. Hi PeterHalmstad, Welcome to the forums! This is possible but only in the the latest customer beta, the Retouching extension should be available in the Mac App Store version in the next update Visit this link for more information :) Jack
  15. Hi tonyt :) We are looking to add mandatory tags to the forum, which would ask you to select which app your question is regarding before you post. This is coming in the future but we have no time scale at the moment. Jack
  16. Hi Lamont. There are a few different options for resampling, I have taken some information from the inbuilt help in the app and have found information that explains each resampling option. This should help :) Nearest Neighbour—simple resampling which has the fastest processing time. Use for hard-edge images. Bilinear—algorithmic resampling for use when shrinking images. Bicubic—algorithmic resampling for use when enlarging images. Resampling is smoother than Bilinear but has a slower processing time. Lanczos 3—complex algorithmic resampling which gives the best results but with the longest processing time. Available as 'separable' and 'non-separable'; the latter gives marginally better results, but is slightly slower than 'separable'. Jack
  17. Hi dackelwaldi51 Thanks for posting on the forums! :) You can go into Preferences>User Interface and change the font size used in the app, it is not possible at the moment however to increase the size of the icons. This has been requested in the past so it could be an option we include in the future. Jack
  18. Hi billbir Thanks for posting on the forums :) I think the jump should be fine, it will take some getting used to of course but we have created many video tutorials and within the App you have in built help which should clear up any confusion with the terminology. You can also post any questions you have on these forums :) Jack
  19. Hi Langmack Welcome to the forums :) We have nothing in the pipeline for this sort of thing at the moment, feel free to request it here We are going to focus on completing the full suite on the Mac over the next 12 months. After that we will look into other options. Jack
  20. Hi MtotheC Welcome to the forums! :) Strange, would it be possible to provide a copy of the file you are working with so I can take a closer look? Have you been able to move layers in any other projects at all?
  21. Hi Gmletc Welcome to the forums :) If you would like your file in any format other than .afdesign you will need to export it as opposed to saving. Under the File menu, click Export. You will then have a pop up window with a variety of formats to export as :) As shown in this video. Jack
