That's very interesting. Short answer to all this is: extensions provides stripped down, but spot tools for Photos, and there's a DAM on the way.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, that screenshot was exactly what I needed to know! I guess the next question is, how can you make use of the full suite of tools, but manage the photos themselves from Photos? I mean is it possible to open the photo in Affinity Photo, and make edits that appear on the version in Photos? I guess I'm looking for an Apple / pay once version of Lightroom / Photoshop, here.

I've been waiting to see the Photos extension for Affinity Photo, but there's not much info as yet. Ideally, it'd be amazing to have all of the features available to the main app. Will change made therein be non-destructive? I'm keen to purchase, but I also want to keep my library where it is, in iCloud.
