Hi RDG12345 Thanks for posting on the forums! :) Select the Text Tool and start writing over the photo. The text will be created in a new layer so you can position it freely anywhere on the photo without affecting it. To move the text change to the Move Tool and drag it to where you want it. You can also add a background, a shadow, change colours etc etc using the available tools in the app. J -

Hi candacew I don't believe we have any videos specifically for artboards at the moment, but in the latest beta we have added quite a lot of written information relating to artboards which you may find useful! Within the app, click Help and search for artboards. J

Hi Stephan! Im unable to replicate this issue, seems to be fine here. Are you having this problem with any project in Affinity Designer or just a specific file? You could try resetting the app just in case, this can be done by holding down CTRL when opening the app, clicking 'Select All' and then 'Clear' J

Hi Valiant Welcome to the forums :) You can use the Media Browser for this, just click View>Media Browser in the app and you will be able to browse the images within Photos. Just double click the image to open it in Affinity :) J

Hi Val :) At the moment, the only way you can view the bleed area you have applied is in a Print Preview or when the document has been exported. This is something we are aware of and looking to change soon! As mentioned here. J

Pointer not changing to the selected tools

Hi Adrian! I'm unable to replicate this issue here, I would suggest resetting the App. This can be done by holding down the CTRL key when launching the app, clicking 'Select All' and 'Clear' I hope this helps! J -

Hi Izstew Welcome to the forums :) Can you confirm how you are trying to upload this particular image? Are you trying to save to the Photos App? I would suggest Exporting to JPEG/PNG and then importing the image into Photos afterwards. J
