  1. Hi MEB, my apologies, you're correct. I opened up the MAS version to find out it works the same way as the Beta version. I'm not entirely sure why I thought it used to work differently. Thank you for the correction. :)
  2. In the latest beta I came across a bug when aligning one object to another by 'Selection Bounds'. It appears the arrange operation performs the alignment to the initial objects selection bounds and not to the updated selection bounds. For example, to horizontally align object B to object A, in previous versions I would select both objects and align object B by 'Selection Bounds' to the left or right side of object A > then click 'align centre' to align object B to the center of object A. However, in the last couple beta versions in order to do that I've had to click 'Done' after each alignment operation before applying another for the desired result. Hopefully my explanation above was clear, if not I've attached a screen recording of the alignment issue. Note: This issue appears for both horizontal and vertical alignment operations. Thanks. 3. You're correct MEB, I should have clarified 'box/marquee selection' with space-cmd in my original post. Thanks.
  4. Hi Lee, It happens in any scenario for me, a new document, open an existing document or with any type of object, be it text or a shape. The nudging bug triggers as long as I don't drop the object from selection before using the space+cmd zoom modifier. I recorded a quick screen capture of it in action. Nudge Bug with Space+Cmd zoom modifier.mov
  5. Firstly, thank you for the adding the Space + Command zoom modifier shortcut - very handy. But it appears the nudging bug has reappeared again but only after using the zoom modifier shortcut. For example, if you nudge an object with the arrow keys (with or without holding the shift key), then zoom in on the canvas using the space + command zoom modifier and nudge the object again it will jump back to its original position. Thanks.
  6. Yes please :) I would also like to see a 'link layers' feature added.
  7. Well, that is odd indeed. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Affinity Designer and Sketch? Not sure if that will help but could be worth a try.
  8. Interesting idea, I could see how it might be useful to edit in-place documents. Personally I prefer the way it's currently implemented - opening the document in a new window. I would, however, love the ability to view open windows as tiled windows in the Affinity suite without having to switch into Separated Mode. +1 for tiled windows. Thanks Dale.
  9. Hi Irenhrda, I don't seem to have any issues copying shapes from Designer into Sketch. I'm running the latest version of Sketch(ver 3.3), but I don't seem to remember having an issue with past versions either. What version of Sketch are you using?
  10. Yes, this is greatly needed. As it stands currently, some numerical fields allow you to increase/decrease the value using your mouse wheel, but in my opinion it's a half baked implementation as incrementing the value is a slow process, even with the shift key modifier. I would also add that those of us who use a Wacom stylus are out of luck as there is no mouse wheel on a pen. As @r10k mentioned, most 3d packages handle this nicely(i.e. Maya/Blender) as well as Sketch and Photoshop. Hopefully the Affinity team will re-consider the current implementation for a click-and-drag approach as you would be able to increment values more rapidly and with greater control. We Wacom users would also be very happy. :)
  11. @VectorCat For simple tasks like renaming or converting selected files you could setup an Automator workflow in OS X. It can be an effective way to help speed up simple but tedious tasks.
  12. Hi @Psiaku, I've experienced the same or similar issue and posted a thread about it a while ago here. When the screen tearing appears for me, if I press the middle mouse button and pan the canvas slightly it seems to correct itself. Does this work for you? I've noticed this same image tearing issue appears in OS X's Preview.app. Perhaps this is an OS X issue and not an issue with Affinity Designer/Photo. I'm hopeful the Affinity team at some point might be able to fix this in Designer/Photo.
  13. Great question @dreikelvin. It does seem odd that the fill command doesn't seem to work with masks. Unless I'm missing something as well.
  14. Custom grids with gutters and improved pixel snapping - ooh my, you're making us UI Designers very happy! :) Many thanks!
  15. When clicking the 'Create Slice' button in the Export Persona, if the selected object, layer, or group has any children objects that extend beyond the boundaries of its clipping mask or parent object, the slice that is created ignores the mask or parent boundaries and wraps the slice around the entire children objects content. Is this possibly a bug? I realize I could manually adjust the slice to wrap around the mask or parent object but doing so releases the slice from the object so that if I then move the object later in the Draw or Pixel Personas the slice would not travel with the object in the Export Persona. Thanks.
  16. Hi MEB, I've also experienced the same issue as sergio. I only seem to run into the issue when working on large documents(i.e. as in dimensions not file size). When the canvas disappeared when I was working in a designer file with the dimensions of 1440px by 4421px. I was able to capture a screen recording of it happening - see video below. Edit: I was using a Macbook Pro with no external display connected. Disappearing Canvas with Toggle UI - small.mov
  17. There is a 1 pixel gap on the documents vertical scrollbar when it's inactive. It seems to disappear briefly if you pan the canvas and then grab the vertical scrollbar handle. The gap colour changes based on the background grey level thats been set in the preferences. See attached screens for reference.
  18. We're almost there! :) Object position resets after nudging when repositioning, scaling, rotating or skewing using the controls from the Transform Panel.
  19. Great to hear it's still on the to-do list. It's not a showstopper bug. Thanks MEB!
  20. Any word if this bug is being worked on? Or if it's still on your radar to be fixed? Performing any kind of rotation, scaling, or skewing after nudging resets the position of the object. Unfortunately this adds a bit of a challenge when doing any sort of UI work inside Affinity. Thanks
  21. Great, thanks Matt! I just came across this after some additional testing. If I sample a colour that was previously sampled from another colour, it will always sample the correct colour. Hopefully this helps you as you sort out what might be going on. Thanks Eyedropper sampling test 2.mov
  22. Hi Matt, I took a screen recording of the issue I'm experiecing with the eyedropper tool, notice the Hex and RGB values slightly change after pasting the sampled colour. As to your point Matt, it doesn't always sample the incorrect colour, however, in my experience it samples incorrectly 90% of the time. I also tested this on the AD Mac App store version and the eyedropper tool seems to behave the same way as the betas. Eyedropper sampling bug.mov
