Another case of a font created with Fontself Maker with excessive multi-mapping.
The problems with excessive multi-mapping are discussed in the above thread.

So basically the problem is in the fonts.
Yes, some other applications may handle this, but creating fonts like this is just dumb.
Which is why Adobe strongly discourages it, and Google Fonts outright prohibits it.

 

But why this problem is only in Windows and not in MacOS?

One day, two hours, they would have released the PR at the same time as Canva, people would have been upset in any case.

The information came out 3AM GMT and Affinity confirmed it like 4 hours later. And it's not like they denied it right way.

I think anyone can wait one or two hours before getting an answer about that. It's not a moderation issue or anything else.

I'm diving into this thread, I saw some really interesting things. If Photo can support out of the box any JSX script, that would be awesome. I have to use the San Jose app because of the script support, and it's a real nightmare.

@Dan C I just opened my file in the macOS version of AD and the tracking is good. It must be a bug from the Windows version of AD, then.

I compared the kerning of some fonts between Designer and Inkscape, and the difference is huge.

Here are my 3 fonts inside inkscape, typed as is :

And here are the same 3 fonts, same text, inside Designer.

Space between letters is way too important, but the one for "M" letters really stands out. I don't understand why Inkscape kerning is well balanced, and Designer... well, is totally wrong.

Maybe because of my fonts ?

The OP seems to have a workflow where “Scale with object” set to ON would be their preferred situation – so they don’t have to keep setting it to ON.

But they also seem to dismissing outright that the people who might want the opposite would have to go through the same ‘pain’ that the OP has to currently go through, without considering whether the OP is in the majority or the minority (they just assume that they are in the majority).

No mention of an option that the user can change as they need it, just a request for change that ignores other people’s workflows.

I'd say wanted. The best solution would be to add a parameter in the options, which every time a new artwork is created, the setting is ON. It's a 50/50, if you don't want it always on, don't activate that parameter.

@Pšenda that issue has been discussed a lot of times but does the devs look the archive forums? If that issue was discussed before, and still relevant today, we have to bring feedback about it once again.

Can we hope to have the split screen function on iOS? Slide over is OK but it hides half of the toolbar on left or right side when I use it.
