If you use the Gradient fill tool [G], you can change the angle and position of the gradient for the current selection. :)

In the swatches panel, make sure you have a category selected that isn't a system palette. You can now select the vector object and right click to 'Add to' swatches. Or you can now click on the add button on the swatches panel.

Attempted a manga anime style type drawing. I'm not quite happy with the colours but I don't think I will improve on this unless I spent another few hours on it. I've included the affinity file as well so you can see how certain I've done certain things. I'm not an artist so there might be a few things that I could have done better, or more efficiently.

The issue with having it built into the dialog forces it to be a fixed size, resizing will then affect the entire export dialog. As a separate window, you have complete control where it should be and what size it can be, or not shown at all. There's an argument to be said to have the preview window shown by default though.

It's one of those improvement that I'm hoping will have no noticeable difference to the majority of users. When it works it should be invisible. Basically, if your node is a child object, it will attempt to keep it within the same parent (keeping it inside the group if possible) no matter where you initiate the drag.

Andrew Tang reacted to MEB in Problems with Nix Collection 2 (updating fonts)
    Hi Mario P,
I believe the problems you are having are due to a faulty Nik Collection upgrade/installation. You have installed the latest standalone app versions, but the plugin files from the previous Nik version remain installed and that's those that are being called by Affinity Photo 1.7. To confirm this, go to the Nik Collection folder inside the Applications folder and double-click the Viveza 2.app file to launch the standalone version. Then click the yellow Nik Collection logo on the top right of the standalone plugin interface - it should say version: 5.0.2.137 x64 (v2.0.4) - which differs from the plugin version you reported. If that's the case do the following:
    - download the latest Nik Collection installer from the DxO homepage, in case you have trashed it
    - run the Uninstaller app to clean app the current/previous installation
    - follow the instructions on this video. Pay attention to the section that starts at 0:40s where James click the "+" button to add a custom folder to where install the plugin files. This folder must be created manually by you. James has created it on his desktop and called it Plugins but I advise you to create the folder inside the Applications folder on your Mac and call it Photoshop Plugins (or whatever you see fit). Then, when you click the "+" button (as in the 0:40s in the video) point it to that folder you just created and continue following the rest of the instructions in the video. The Nik installer will create a new folder named/labelled DxO inside the folder you created - this is where are located the plugin files - and its the folder you have to browse to/add to the Plugin Search Folder section in Affinity Photo Photoshop Plugins Preferences.
Let me know if you still have issues after following those steps.
