The functioning of StudioLink in 1.7.1 retail apps was far from perfect (at least 4 ways it could fail or report incorrectly) . The comment "StudioLink integration tweaks" absolutely affects release builds, mending more of the problems found by customers and reported to QA and support staff. It should not affect it, no. There were exceptional cases where this was not true (particularly when Mac apps were not installed directly into applications folder)

Did you check if either of them can re-export it in a way that Affinity can import correctly?

OK, this has been reported to the developers, but it is not a new problem. Thanks for your help. I do not have a work around for this, sorry. Perhaps you have another program that can read the SVG in and then re-Export without using fill:url(#x) to define the fill/transparency, which is the part we do not interpret accurately at present.

@Darren Rose Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. I see an issue with line thickness on the triangle and it looks like the gradient has been lost or mis-transformed on the radial transparency white hilight. We need the SVG file to understand more about this problem.

Not sure what "retail releases" you mean. I was referring to the Retail MAS releases in my reply. Retail Release builds of our products will only activate the StudioLink if it can find the right retail release builds. Retail builds ignore beta builds and rely on other retail builds for StudioLink. (NOTE: This GM is a beta GM and subtly different from the retail GM package)

Yes it will. However all the betas will probably stop working once you update the Mac App Store 1.7.2 releases as they have in the past :-/

Greenmoon, Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums Serif have not said much about the pricing of the next version (afaik), and nothing wrt upgrades, so an assumption there would not be special pricing would be safest. To all readers, In relation to the original question I would point out that we are not working to a decimal system in that 1.8 and 1.9 do not automatically lead to 2.0 next. There is nothing really to say if we will go from 1.8 straight to 2.0 or equally we could go (for example) from 1.7 to 1.8 to 1.9 to 1.10 to 1.11 before 2.0. Only buy 1.7 if it does what you want (and you like the company), everything else is a bonus. Version 2 will not be free and will come when our team decides it is time and then 2.1 and 2.2 etc will be free updates to owners of 2.0.

No that is not the fix for your issue, sorry. It relates to the rasterization of text in PDF export caused by adjustments applied to images or embedded documents (on the same page as the text)

Could be, if it was still closing (or never shuts properly) you would see this. It would be helpful if you exit right now to see if it remains running in Task Manager (right click on a blank bit of the taskbar and choose Task Manager).

Sorry it is hard for us to fix if we cannot replicate. If the next beta does this we would appreciate a new thread and the failed beta installer log (from your TMP folder) attaching to the post before you restart and get it installed.

The trial is a 10 day trial (from first run), so what you are seeing is as expected. Where did you get the idea it was a 30 day trial? (perhaps we have it written incorrectly somewhere)

Where do you install the software to please? (is it the default location?)

# of # is how they will show on the masterpage, is that what you meant?

@ErrkaPetti Please can you try the latest Affinity Publisher beta for us and report back. Hopefully this has been resolved with no knock on consequences.

@Deetman Do you mean the software user interface in Dutch or spell checking of text you create?

It should do so automatically and silently. If it offers "repair/remove" options then you are running the same install as you have installed (either a 422 installer with 422 already installed or 442 installer with 442 already installed I cannot tell which)

@Swat Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums The filter layers are not available in Designer and no they do not belong in Designer. Affinity Photo trial is here and Affinity Designer can open any file created or edited in Affinity Photo
