AiDon
Hi, I know you don't have your own browser and are using the explorer to select the images but there are no thumbnails available for selecting CR3 images to open which does tend to make it a little difficult. Also I don't know how long it will take for CR3 to be supported by the Windows 10 OS, is there any option to be able to see the thumbnails before opening CR3 images? Unless it is supported by Windows, or you have another codec installed that will show them in the Explorer, or another application that will show them, no. If it helps, XnViewMP will show them. AiDon
Doesn't help if other viewers show them as they cannot be called as browsers from Affinity. Fastone also shows thumbnails. If I had PS (I don't want it) it will provide a thumbnail of the image. It is just something that will improve the product as if you are able to open the image you should really be able to see a thumbnail preview, as ACDSee does for .aphoto images Quote Both PC’s Win 11 x64 System with Intuos Pen & Touch PC1 ASUS ROG Strix - AMD Ryzen 9 6900X CPU @ 3.3GHz. 32GB RAM- GPU 1: AMD Radeon integrated. walt.farrell
It doesn't defeat the purpose, it allows you to work until Windows catches up with the CR3 format. Seriously, though, Affinity friends on Windows or another codec that you install. If you want Affinity to change, and to provide a different dialog and it's own thumbnails, you should post in the Feature Requests area. Mark Ingram
If you're browsing files in Windows Explorer (as you are here) then this is a feature request for Microsoft (and / or Canon). Ron P.

That window is not Affinity Photo's Browser, it's Windows Explorer, so the lack of thumbnails is due to MS Windows not having a codec for Canon's latest RAW file format. Has nothing to do due with Affinity Photo. Quote Affinity Photo 2.4..; Affinity Designer 2.4..; Affinity Publisher 2.4..; Affinity2 Beta versions. AiDon
Thank you for your comment Ron P., even I stated it was the Windows Explorer interface dialog and not a Affinity browser.
