Scenario:

Create several layers.

Press Ctrl-E to merge them. Immediately after this press Crtl-S to save.

Affinity hangs indefinitely while displaying a message "Merging layers".

Create several of what type of layers? Adjustment, image, pixel (images), shapes, text? When reporting bugs, you need to be very specific for the developers to be able to recreate, find the bug your reporting and then finally to fix them.

If I follow your directions, when I press Ctrl+E, I get the Erase Brush Tool. So I guess I should select all the layers first. Then press Ctrl + E. Even after selecting all layers, when I press Ctrl + E I still get the Erase Brush Tool. It does not merge anything.

Hey Yuri P.,

I'm struggling to reproduce this. Are you saving locally or to a cloud/NAS? Can you send me a file? I've made one with about 80 (mixed) layers and groups but when the message appears and I hit save, it just continues until it finishes the merge.
