Bogdan
Hi @haakoo, layerspanel>expand the pictureframe object>select This solution takes way to many clicks. What I'm suggesting takes only one click, and this is essential when you have documents that have hundreds of images in them that constantly keep changing. Also when you crop a picture or distort it, and try to replace the image those modifications are not kept.

Bogdan
@haakoo, well I do believe that PF supports other stuff. But i think it should be tested more, sometimes it doesn't function as expected. Also with cropping. If I crop an image with the PF and then I want to replace it (even though i use the Replace Image button) The picture will not keep the crop format. Bogdan
Also I dislike that when I crop an image by moving an edge of the PF the image stays centered. Sometimes makes alot more sense to keep the image in place and crop some extra margin...

Sometimes makes alot more sense to keep the image in place and crop some extra margin... Note the "Lock children" button which is meant to prevent such unwanted changes to an image inside a PF. Unfortunately it is no menu entry (= can't get a shortcut key) but is mostly hidden at the right end of the toolbar and needs to get unfolded (>>) manually, each time of use. Bogdan
Hi @thomaso, yes, I'll try to narrow it down with some screen recording also in a new thread, in bugs. Thanks for the Lock Children tip, very useful! thomaso
Petar Petrenko
If you place an image in Publisher you can see in "Layers" panel that a rectangular layer mask exists which can be used for cropping picture. But, if you want to add a stroke to it, you will see the the stroke is applied arround the picture instead on the rectangle. Is that really related to this topic, Petar, or should it have its own topic to make sure it's not lost? As I could understand it is about putting an image into frame when placing it in Publisher. Nut, as I can see, it already has a frame, a rectangle (as a mask) in the Layer pannel.
