Not to sure what the zoom glass of details is, could you expand a little bit on what's happening, which tool or filter you're using.

I believe it's a 'feature' intended to help see the node when using fingers.  A good idea poorly implemented (buggy) ? as it pops up with pencil, usually blocks what you want to see and doesn’t respond to movement.

Yes DM1. With finger it works, with Apple Pencil it freezes.

 

lots of apps have this future and it works perfectly. So, definitely, it is a bug, a stupid and annoying bug.

Serif are working on 1.7 beta which when finished should then be ported to iPad. Hopefully it will address the mostly minor but frustrating bugs existing in 1.6. :)
