Johnnymycat
Hello, How can i turn off the spellchecker for Affinity Designer, which underlines "false words" (and everything else) in red? Thanks, have a nice day! Banchikpuma
000
It's in the TEXT menu, there's a submenu called "Spelling". Turn off "Check spelling while typing" — made me slightly mad as well. Dave Harris
With the right-click menu you can also ignore specific words for the document, or add them to the dictionary so they are considered correct for all documents. We use the standard OS X spell-checker so the dictionaries and behaviour should be common across all apps. 000

Naytron
Is there a way to turn this off by default? It's unnecessarily cumbersome to have to do this every time the program opens.

It should be remembered on MacOS, too. (Note: If you're an iPad user, you asked in the wrong forum, as this forum is for desktop questions. I think, for iPad, you must do it for each document separately.)
