  1. I have an ongoing issue with hyphenation in justified text. The spaces between the words are just too big. I have tried around with the settings and as you can see below, I have (for my knowledge) already set it to the maximum of hyphenation possible. All the playing around with the numbers changed nothing (made it worse occasionally). Is there a setting for like the "maximum space between words"? Finally I figured the problem may be with the Hypenation Dictionary. Maybe the program just hast too few options to hyphenate? But the affinity help page only directs me to the hyphenation dictionary which is already installed. Are there any other you know of? As you can see in the example text below, there are two paragraphs. In the upper paragraph there are some, very few words hyphenated, although I would wish the text to be way more compact, even with more separations. In the lower paragraph, there is none, although there are many suitable words. Like those, who consist of two different words itself: "Kultur-behörde, Kunst-vereinen, Kunst-halle", even seperable into Kul-tur-be-hör-de or something like that. Also city names like "Ham-burg" or "Düssel-dorf". I find the look of these texts very unprofessional, but find no way (can not even think of a ciscumstantial way) to solve that. Can You? Thank you! Kind regards :)
  2. Oh, thanks! You just saved me! Because I just found one picture frame, that wouldn't convert even after a crash. That would have been a real bummer – this project was just getting finished (an is now). So thank you really much for your tip! :))))
  3. Hi, my version crashes instantly, when you convert a picture frame into curves. This only applies on time per picture frame, when you reopen, you can work with that same picture frame in curves (but for every other it costs a crash).
  4. A big thank you for your help and your long answer! This works perfectly fine - unfortunately just for one picture, but its great anyways. Is a "blur-beneath"-effect planned for Affinity (Designer/Photo) in the future? Even if i can't use it in my webdesign (because i wanted to do slideshow, where a little part of the pictures is under the website menu) I learned a decent new function of Affinity Designer. Thanks and have a nice day! :)
  5. Hey, I'm trying to get things blurry when they are under a certain transparent object. In the picture you see a picture under a transparent rectangle and I want any picture to be blurry, when it is under the rectangle. Could you help me to find out how? Thank you a lot! :)
  6. Dear Affinity, is there any chance that Affinity could develop a software for visual web design (like Adobe Muse) in the future? I can't find anything user-friendly for mac and I'm sure, You would be able to create the best software for mac, like you've done it with Designer and Photo! Greetings, Markus
  7. In the picture you can see my "work" and the layers on the right side. I want the Arm coming out of the hole, but I just don't know how!? Thank you for your help :)
  8. Hello, How can i turn off the spellchecker for Affinity Designer, which underlines "false words" (and everything else) in red? Thanks, have a nice day!
  9. Is there any tool or something, which can help me to create geomatrical objects, such as pyramides or cubes? Or do i have to do it by eye-measure? Thank you! :)
  10. Hi, I saw "Affinity Publisher" on the main webpage: When will ist launch? Have you already begun working on it? Is there already further information about it? This is probably an easy-to-find-out-question, but i couldn't ^^ Thank You!
  11. Just started exploring the world of designing...
