Josie
I’m very disappointed in your app affinity designer because I never know when it’s going to crash on me when I either work on a new project or import a photo. Very frustrating! I want this fixed now so I can use the app, and also you should have developed the app better to be at 100% performance. 0487F4F3-2DCF-4B9F-A1D0-35555E68886D.MP4

Perhaps read this and post in correct thread when you have a calm moment. Alfred 1 Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). |ndigo
Good afternoon, the second day of the program failure. I can not continue to work. The work done is not saved after a failure. DM1
Hi Indigo, crashes like you experienced may be caused by lack of memory resources in iPad or possible corrupted object in your project, either way, very annoying to lose work. It will help if you provide details such as IPad model, memory size, iOS version, Designer version. When working on your file make sure all other apps are shut down (as they hold onto memory). Sometimes a hard reset helps too. Hold power button and home button down for 10seconds and iPad will reboot freeing up memory. If you attach attach a copy of the file to your post someone here can test to see if they have the same issue. If it’s repeatable here the developers may be able to identify why it is happening. If you want to do this, open your project, use the Document menu and select Save a Copy. Follow the prompts and save with history too. Now you have an .afdesign file that you can attach to your post. This is actually a good workflow to use anyway. Save a copy. Close the original and use Open from Cloud to Open the Copy. Now you will also have a Save option appearing in the Document menu and your changes can be saved back to the .afdesign file. Otherwise saves are made to the Designer 'sandbox' copy and cannot be accessed if something goes wrong with your file. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). DM1
@GabrielM Hi Gabe, I am having the same issue with the Logo.afdesign file causing Designer to crash. I could move the shapes either side but after selecting and moving the outline shape at the centre top of logo, Designer crashed back to desktop. Maybe move the OP¡s post to the bug thread. Staff Gabe Posted April 16, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 16, 2019 I believe this is because you have so many nodes and snapping on. Try to do this operation with snapping off and see if you can still replicate it (I cannot replicate it with snapping off)

|ndigo
Yes that's right. I thought that the productivity of the iPad does not allow you to perform the work begun. Therefore, I decided to drive a more powerful car ...

Staff Gabe Posted April 18, 2019 Staff Share Posted April 18, 2019 We've tried it on a few macs and iPads here and could not make it crash. Any chance you can send us a screen recording of your Mac crashing? @DM1 can you also attach a screen recording?

Did pretty much same actions on other side first, then moved the top drawing then moved to right side and crash. 26D53D25-6111-46BF-AFC8-156A36BBDDF6.MOV Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Paul Mudditt
I noticed a strange empty group in layer stack, deleted it then saved a copy without history, closed the file then opened the copy without the empty group and without history and can’t get to to crash anymore (not exhaustive testing).
