VectorCat Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I just made 2 objects which I want to be child to a group. not cropped, just in the group. AD either doesn't "want" to allow this, or wants to crop the object into another one. what is the move that lets me put an object into a group? Quote

I would try grouping the two new objects with the 'old' group if you don't want clipping happening. If there is no other existing group you want to put them in, just select both objects & in the Layers panel or on the canvas right click & select "Group" or use the keyboard shortcut for that. If the Move tool is selected, you can also click the Group button on the context toolbar.
