glennmaguire Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 A video import option would be great, whether thats streaming video from Vimeo or actually inserted into the document. Then being able to output as a PDF and send to clients would be invaluable. I appreciate it would create larger files but this is way better option that filling a document full of links. Great product so far Thanks Glenn Quote
Steps Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 I never encountered a PDF with embedded video or music and just had to look it up that this is actually a thing with Acrobat Reader 9. I like interactive PDF up to the point where you can fill out a form or click a link (either to jump to a bookmark or external URL) but inserting things you cannot print defeats the purpose of that format in my view. Ralphhhhh Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 I also would like to add video for presentation purposes. So this is not possible yet? Quote

FaithS Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 I would also like the ability to embed videos or animated GIFs. I create instructional E-Booklets, and having the ability to embed a short (5 - 10 seconds) GIF in my book makes the instructions much easier to follow. I understand I could upload a video to Vimeo or YouTube and then create a hyperlink, but I'd rather not force my clients to go through the extra steps. I also understand that it's not Affinity's goal to be like "other publishing software" and the great thing about it is that it's not. But this one feature seems to be often requested by users, so maybe you could consider it? Quote
