  1. Thomaso, same here. No affinity files in the Finder sidebar. But still a great option, didn't know that! Of course, I cannot answer your question 😅. Total beginner, here, learning from each posting.
  2. Thank you, thomaso!! Setting the number of recent files to 50 will make a huge difference! Thanks, walt.farrell. Great advice!
  3. Thank you, GarryP, PaulEC, Psenda, thomaso, very helpful advice with the filename extension, I could find some of the documents with that. In Affinity itself, "Recent Files menue" gives me only the last 5 saved documents. I cannot find out, where to see "older" documents than these last 5 ones. Seems, the software keeps only those in "Recent files" for direct access. Understandable. Def have to take more care of my storage. Thanks again!
  4. Hi, how can I find old documents created on Affinity Designer? Are they stored somewhere? Thanks for helping!
  5. Thank you, Lee! How to find out, which font is missing? When I drag the pdf into Publisher, it shows the following picture:
  6. Hi, I have pfd documents created in Adobe, which are written in Japanese and English. The English font gets recognized by Affinity Publisher, the Japanese font not. But I have to rewrite parts of the Japanese. How to recognize the font, and would it solve the problem, if I buy the missing font and upload it to Affinity? Thanks for your help. The original font seems to A-OTF GothicBBBPr6N. Another problem is, that I cannot write in Japanese, even after switching the keyboard settings. Is this because I am working on a Mac, which is set to English? Several problems to solve. Thanks for helping. ganz6←2円形のシンプルなアレンジメント(生徒).pdf
  7. Thank you!! It is not a total must for readers, it just looks cooler and gives the feel of a book or magazine. Net view only is fine with me. On the other hand, printing out might get difficult. Many online catalogues work like that, but to create them means to pay monthly member fees to other apps, some of them up to 100$ a month, thats nonsense. The moment I cant pay this anymore, the contents will not be available anymore to my readers, too risky. I will just wait.
  8. Thank you! I will just wait until this comes up as an option in Affinity, just left Adobe so don't want to go back. Fliphtml, I saw that also, for me as a non-professional, its hard to run through several programs. Its just easier to read flippable pages than long scroll-downs. But I am sure Affinity will add that soon. Thank you for your information!
  9. Hi. How can I create digital pdfs which can be scrolled as flip pages. Nor from up to down, but from left to right? Like those digital magazines, which are used in Issuu etc? Thanks for your advices! Gabriele Another question is how to include videos, but I guess this has to be solved with links to Vimeo or YouTube, right? Still dreaming from a Harry Potter like publication. With moving content inside of a magazine.
  10. On my search for templates to create a publication, I found this on Creative Market: https://creativemarket.com/Occy/4272514-MediaPress-Kit-Template Anyone knowing about "Occy"? Are they trustable? I cannot start without a template, no idea about borders, font sizes etc. Not so many templates for Affinity out there. Other recommendations are welcome! I need a template for visually orientated publications. Thanks for helping!
